Jaemin's record isn't exactly perfect either.

As Donghyuck advises Jaemin to crush, not slice the bean, he reaches for the sloth brain, and Jaemin is thankful that Donghyuck is a wiz at potions, because there was no way that he was touching that.

"Since we're partners and I haven't got a clue what we're doing" He answers, to which Donghyuck just nods, his fingers running over the pages of Jaemin's book as he double checks the next steps.

"Now we just add the ingredients and stir" Donghyuck announces, to which Jaemin pours the juice from the crushed bean into the cauldron, watching as smoke begins to rise steadily.

As opposed to just a clockwise motion, Donghyuck opts for an anticlockwise stir after every seventh circle. Jaemin doesn't understand why and he doesn't ask, but it was a tip their potions professor had given him in a hushed tone in the back of the class previously, and Donghyuck had immediately penned the instruction down on his own copy of the book. And luckily, even without the worn pages in front of him, he remembered.

An hour and two exploded cauldrons later, the class finally draws to a close. And Donghyuck allows a certain smugness to take over his features as he's praised once again for his skills. Turning to face Mark, his boyfriend offers him a proud smile.

"That's it for today, don't forget your books on your way out and remember for next lesson, three sides of parchment on the limitations of Veritaserum- which will be our next potion!"

"Veritaserum?" Jaemin echoes, just as the crowd around his and Donghyuck's cauldron disperses.

"Truth serum" Donghyuck clarifies, however before he is able to grab his bag and follow his classmates to their next lesson, Professor Suh calls his name.

"Could I have a word, Mr Lee?"

With a heavy sigh, Mark drops down next to Yukhei, his bag hitting the desk with a muffled thud as he seems to melt into the chair.

"That tired already?", Yukhei jokes to which Mark just groans in response, no words needed, "Just you wait till we start preparing for our Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests"

At the mention of their N.E.W.T exams, Mark begins regretting signing up to his extra curriculars and accepting the position of Head Boy.

"Wait, you haven't started preparing yet?" Jeno asks, causing Yukhei to dramatically gesture for him to stay silent and reassure Mark instead of worrying him further.

Mark befriended Jeno in their second year- both practically lived in the library and upon talking found that they had quite a lot in common, especially as Jeno was a half-blood and therefore understood most of the reference's Mark would make to his childhood.

"If anyone can pull off all your commitments, it's you" He whispers, causing Yukhei to give him a thumbs up and a smile.

"I feel like I've shot myself in the foot though" Mark cries, to which Yukhei worriedly peers under the table at his friend's shoes, his eyebrows furrowing.
