A missing piece

-Y/ns POV-
-middle school-

"Tendou..I need to tell you something"
"Hmmm, what is it my dear n/n~"
I fiddle with the hem of my shirt. "I have to move away for some time..."
I watch as he stops fluffing his hair up and turns away from his bathroom mirror.
"Huh?"
"My mom is making us move in with her new boyfriend...and we're selling the house in a month.." I can feel the tears welling up in my eyes. I bite back the tears and look at the floor. He walks up to me and pats my shoulder. I look up and see his usual smiling face turn into a frown.
"You...won't forget me will you?"
I wrap my arms around his torso and bury my face into his chest.
"How can I forget your tall lanky butt? You're my first best friend here. If I do forget you I want you to spike me with my volleyball." We laugh for a bit and separate. "Oh speaking of which" i quickly leave the bathroom and head to my school bag, unzipping it. I take out the well used volleyball covered in doodles and walk back to the bathroom. His eyes widen as I hand it to him, tears threatening to spill. "I know i'm not leaving yet, but as you know..a token of friendship or something like that"
He takes it carefully and looks me in the eyes.
"Do you have to? I mean you can live here with us! Pleeease n/n."
I shake my head and smile sadly. "I can't, but i can sleep over with as much time I have left."
He smiles, but I know he's hiding his tears, his yelling. But I can't blame him, school is about to start and we can't look like bigger walking disasters than we already do. "Come on and hurry you lanky lug, school is gonna start and we take forever to walk."
He nods and picks up our bags, he places the volleyball in his room and we walk out and make our way out. We walk side by side the silence both comforting and not. I sigh and rub my eyes remembering all the fun times we had together. Like when i declared us "dating" and crashing Butts birthday party one year, only to get in trouble and grounded. It was worth it though, he deserved it.

-Tendous POV-

I keep glancing over at y/n, my heart aching every time. 'I don't want her to leave..I haven't told her..I can't now..why cant she live with us? Doesn't her mom know how hard it is to make friends?'
I look over again and i'm met with her mismatched eyes.
"Caught you"
I place a hand on my forehead and chest "I've been caught! Oh whatever will i do? I know!~"
I pinch her cheek and start running.
"Satori get your ass back here!" y/n yells and chases after me, laughing.
'I'm going to miss this.. I'm going to miss her..don't go..please'
We finally make it to the school gates and I stop suddenly, causing y/n to run into me. I catch her and shake her "tsk tsk you need to be careful n/n~" i pat her head as she swats at my hand "can't risk you getting hurt now can we~ you would skip gym and leave poor little me all alone~"
She rolls her eyes and walks into the school "yeah yeah, you'd end up coming with me if i skipped gym either way. Theres no running away from you Tenten. You have too long of legs"
I smile as she lightly kicks my leg, I playfully yelp and rub my leg "Oh you wound me! I think i might have to skip gym~"
She sighs as we head to our classroom. 'You have to make the most of it..for your sake and hers.''
-Time skip-
I stand in front of y/ns house, watching as she places her last bag in the moving van. She turns to me and her mismatched eyes spill tears by the buckets. Her green eye looking brighter while her f/c eye looks duller.
"T-t-tendou im...im going to miss you...a lot.." she rushes into my arms as i pat her head, tears spilling from my own eyes.
"I'm going to miss you too n/n. You better come back or I'll hunt you down.~"
"Heh, you know i would like that" she chuckles and i hug her tighter
"Better no forget about me n/n~"
"I would never" she pulls away and wipes her eyes. The van's horn honks and she cries more.
"I love you satori!" she yells as she runs to the van and getting in. I rushed after her and stopped at her window. Her tear stained face looks at mine.
"I love you too n/n. Come back please."
I cry as I watch the van pull away and drive down the street.
'Ill see you one day..even if i have to hunt you down.'
