A missing piece

-Y/ns POV-
I start to make my way to the girls dorms but stop once I hear a familiar voice call out. I turn and see Tendou running towards me waving both his arms around and stop walking. He catches up and places his arm around my shoulder and starts walking in the direction of the gym.
"Uh, where are we going?"
"To the gym of course! Yes yes, all so i can show you my skills and maaaaybe get you to show off your skills~" He boops my nose and i scrunch up my face.
"Are you sure you want me around?"
He stop and his usual smile fades and his face gets serious. He turns towards me and he places both of his hands on my shoulders and stares at me.
"y/n I haven't seen you in years..I- I missed you. You were on my mind every single day..I still have your ball you know." He hugs me tightly and pats my hair, I hug him back tightly and sigh "I- I missed you too..I still have your sweatshirt I stole from you?"
He pulls away "you stole a sweatshirt?"
I blink and look away "I mean.."
"Ah ah ah naughty naughty n/n~" his smile returns and we start walking to the gym again "As payback you have to play at least one game with me~"
We enter the gym and I'm met with the guys from lunch and a few other who I haven't met run up and down the court. Ushijima notices us and stops running to meet up with us.
"Your late Tendou."
Said person waved his hand "I know I know, I was on my way when I saw this one walking all by her lonesome so I saved her and brought her to paradise~"
Ushijima looks down at me "do you plan on watching us y/n?"
I nod and Tendou speaks up "Also also, we have a little thing going on and she has to play at least ONE game so I can see her in action~"
Ushijimas eyes burn into mine and I look down. "Really?"
I nod.
"If we have time at the end then yes, if not we can go over time."
"You hear that n/n? You get to show me your skills once again~"
"I would like to see if you have improved since the last time we played." Both look at each other then at me.
"I'll uh, go sit over there.."I point to the wall and quickly make my way over and sit down. I take deep breaths trying to get the feeling of impending doom to ease away.
-Tendous POV-
We watch as she heads over to the wall and we make our way to the court.
"Hey Ushiwaka"
He hums.
"How good was she if you want to watch her play?"
He looks at me "I saw her as an equal. If I were to say anything, we were at the same level at everything in Volleyball."
"Hmm I see I see. For me, It was because she wanted to play with me no matter what."
He Hums and we get into place and get ready to practice.
'Time to show her how much she impacted my game.'
The ball starts off on the other side and it flies through the air. A member on my side sets the ball and another hits it over, It gets received and they set. I get ready and as soon as the spiker jumps I follow his motions and block the ball. It hits the floor and I spin around and point at y/n
"I'm called Miracle Boy Sa-To-ri now n/n! And you get to witness my power~" a small smile appears on her face and immediately I'm filled with happiness.
"Tendou pay attention, we're starting again" Ushiwaka looks at me then at Y/n.
"I see your eager to show off too wakatoshi~ but never fear, she will be  a m a z e d"
"But I'm not in fear?"
"No, like don't worry"
"Oh. but i'm not worried"
"Never mind."
We get ready once more and the ball is in our court, ushiwaka serving. He tosses the ball and jumps up and hits the ball, sending it straight to the other courts floor. I watch him glance over at Y/n and I couldn't help but feel just and itsy bitsy- who am I kidding? A large amount of jealousy burst in my chest. It kept going like this, Us hitting the ball then look at her for her approval. She would clap or give us a thumbs up. When the time came, practice ended. I ran up to y/n, stopping a few feet in front of her, opened my arms and slowly made my way to her.
"Tendou...no"
"Whos 'Tendou?'and no what? I just want a hug~"
She sighs "Tenten...I don't..want a sweaty hug."
I rush forward and run at her, she books it and I chase her around the gym, a small bit of her old self coming out.
"TENDOU PLEASE STOP"
"Stop what~ I just want a huuuuug~"
-Ushijimas POV-
I watch as y/n runs away from Tendou, Semi stepping next to me.
"Should we stop him?"
"I-"
Im cut off as y/n runs behind me and hides.
"Come ooooooon n/n~ I just want a huuuuug~"
I turn slightly and she looks up at me. I turn back to Tendou "i don't think she wants a hug Tendou."
He sighs heavily and dramatically and lets his arms drop. "I guess it can't be helped~..wait!" He points at her and she jumps. "She has to plaaaay~"
I look at the clock in the gym and hum. "We have time for one game."
"Wait" she stepped out from behind me, "I'm wearing a skirt. That's going to prevent me from doing things."
"Tsk tsk, n/n trying to get out of playing is bad~ you can borrow a spare pair from me~" I watch as he runs to the locker room and y/n sighs. I turn to her fully as Semi walks away to go talk to Shirabu and Goshiki.
"y/n"
She jumps.
"Have you played volleyball after you moved away?"
She looks down and shakes her head no "I..I stopped playing on a team after I moved."
"But i'm asking if you stopped-"
"I'm baaaaaack~ and look at them n/n, they'll fit you just right." Tendou runs up to us and holds his shorts up, handing them to y/n dramatically. She nod and runs off to go to the locker room, leaving Tendou and I waiting, watching.
"Hey wakatoshi?"
I hum
"What would you do if I told you I liked her ever since we were kids and still do?"
I turned to him.
"Well I would say I like her as well. Sure she may have lost her confidence and ambitions. But I can work to bring them back."
Tendou hums and his smile falters slightly. Soon Its back when y/n walks out in his shorts and we walks forward, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
"Lets play shall we?~"
I look around and notice the gym empty except for the three of us.
"Well this is tragic, what do you say n/n?~"
"Looks like we can't play, oh well"
I look at her and lock eyes, she quickly looks at the floor and I speak up "We could play one on on one, like we used to do."
Tendou looks at me then at her "yes yes we can do that, come on n/n. Us first~"
