Hermione unsuccessfully jumped scared Ginny as she sat down at Gryffindor table for lunch, Ginny was very focused on helping a crying Lavender, while Harry, Neville, Dean and Seamus were helping Ron in finding a way to help calm her down.

Before she sat down, she looked around at all her friends. They were a huge mess, she giggled and sat down piling food onto the empty plate in front of her. Instead of involving herself in the drama, she sat back. Thinking about what happened after her first period.

She held Draco's hand when trying to reassure him that despise being in this situation, they were on the same team for once. She was willing to put their past behind them and so was he.

Even if they couldn't date or show much signs of being new friends, they were willing to make things work. For this Hermione was extremely grateful, she looked up at the Slytherin table, quickly glancing around until she found Draco.

He was laughing with his friends as Pansy stared adoringly at him from where she sat next to him. She poked his shoulder and pulled what she assumed was a cute face and asked Draco something.

Hermione quickly frowned, she felt something boiling up inside her. She immediately lost her appetite, it felt bad, she didn't like the feeling but she couldn't quite describe it. Except for the time when Lavender and Ron dated a while ago. Was it jealousy? But why would she be jealous?

She didn't like him, "I don't like him, I don't like him, I DON'T like him" she whispered to herself. Looking back up at Draco, his expression wasn't much different from her's previously.

He had frowned and rolled his eyes. He said something which looked to be in an angry tone and shook his head turning away from her. Pansy looked down at her feet both mad and disappointed, then looked up to Gryffindor table. Her eyes finally stopped at Hermione, she looked right at her and glared.

Hermione felt taken aback, What was her problem? What could I have possibly done to offend her? She glared right back at her, pure hatred bubbling inside her. She looked over at Draco, who was looking at her with a little smile.

He mouthed "You good?" and Hermione nodded with a small smile. She nudged her eyes towards to Pansy and Draco looked at her. He rolled his eyes again, "Just ignore her, I'll tell you later." He mouthed again.

She smiled and nodded again, finally starting to eat. She picked up a spoon and smiled to herself as she took a bite. Ginny then tapped her on the shoulder, "What do I do?"

Ginny and Hermione turned the other way and saw Lavender leaving the great hall, her robe sleeve wiping her eyes. Hermione shrugged, "Has she tried talking to Ron?"

Ginny smacked herself in the forehead, "Why have I not told her that? My brother's scared little arse is probably trying to apologise!"

Hermione giggled, "Come on, let's go find Lavender. She's probably wandered off to our bathroom." Hermione did think Lavender was being rather dramatic but it isn't exactly right to be called dramatic.
