One month after Hogwarts,
August/1st/1999

Hermione sat on the couch with her knees pulled up to her chest, reading and absent-mindedly playing with the tips of her hair. Suddenly, Draco apparated into her living room with a wide grin. "Come on, we're going somewhere."

Hermione frowned in confusion and stood up, "Where?"

"It's a surprise, come on! Hurry up and change!" Draco said excitedly.

After she changed, Draco apparated them into an alley in Muggle London to avoid other people seeing them. Hermione was basically being dragged due to how fast Draco was walking.

Soon enough, Draco had come behind a couple and Hermione found the way they were linking arms, how they walked together and the way they had a quiet conversation with each other strangely familiar. She tilted her head in confusion and Draco pulled out a 5 dollar note.

He tapped the man's shoulder and they turned around. "Can we help you?" He asked.

Draco smiled and handed him the bill, "You dropped this." The couple shared a look of confusion before the women shook her head, "We aren't carrying cash, it can't be ours."
