At the comment, Donghyuck smiles, "You keeping tabs on me, Wong?"
"Keep your enemies close and all that", He answers with a dismissive wave of his hands. Truthfully speaking though, Yukhei has been watching the Slytherin games closely, all to try and break down their plays. However, even if they were in different houses, he can't deny that Donghyuck has a particular skill for the sport.
At the assumption, Donghyuck bows his head shyly, scrunching his nose nervously as he admits in a small voice, "I actually want to be a Healer."
He was always quiet and cautious when revealing his future plans to people. Usually, he'd try and be vague since everyone seemed to have their own opinions on his life, but with Mark by his side, Donghyuck didn't think to hide his answer from his boyfriend's best friend. Plus, his parents had already practically disowned him, he might as well own up and be proud of his ambitions now.
It takes Yukhei a moment to process what Donghyuck had said and in that minute, Donghyuck begins to doubt uttering it, but Yukhei quickly speaks up.
"Wait, really? Shit, that's cool," He announces, somewhat surprised but with a smile, and that's all it takes for Donghyuck to let his guard down.
"Thanks", Donghyuck chuckles, amused by Yukhei's language, "Are you gonna try-out?"
Nodding softly, Yukhei smiles, "Thinking about it, yeah-"
It's then that the clock Donghyuck had charmed himself began to ring loudly, Mark quickly taking out his own wand to silence the contraption, to which Donghyuck offers him a grateful smile.
"Ah", The Slytherin sighs, squeezing Mark's hand once more, "I should get going."
It was time for his private potions lesson, so, unfortunately, Donghyuck had to bid them both goodbye. Donghyuck himself was actually rather surprised at how much he'd enjoyed Yukhei's company.
"Have fun", Mark comments, leaning in just as Donghyuck does, their lips meeting softly.
It's only then that Donghyuck remembers where they are as whisperings pick up around them. Donghyuck can already tell that some are probably even pointing.
But Mark doesn't pull away, if anything, Donghyuck can feel him smiling into the kiss, and so the Slytherin just brings his free hand up to cradle Mark's jaw, keeping themselves close just for a moment longer.
Kissing Mark always just felt right.
They pull away reluctantly and Donghyuck whispers, "I will" softly before he's standing up, offering Mark one last smile before he leaves, hurrying out of the hall to make his appointment on time.
Mark looks after Donghyuck, watching him go as he disappears around the corner before turning back to his plate, a slight pout already making its way onto his face as Donghyuck is no longer next to him.
"You know..." Yukhei begins, Mark lifting his gaze up to meet his friend's, "He's not half bad."
Mark can't help but smile at the compliment as he grabs his goblet again, both of them turning back to their food.
It's not a moment later when Yukhei taps his arm gently, and Mark looks up at his friend, eyebrows furrowed as Yukhei's gaze is turned towards the door.
Following his line of gaze, Mark swallows harshly as he already feels his hands grow sweaty.
Na Jaemin was striding down the Great Hall, his gaze set on Hogwarts' Head Boy.
"Merlin, what do I do?" Mark whispers under his breath to Yukhei, silently wishing that Donghyuck would come back like he's just forgotten something.
