I sat there hugging them and crying, I couldn't believe that they were actually here. I gripped on to them tightly, thinking that if I let go I'd wake up from the dream I was in. I never woke up. It was real...
I was actually hugging Toby. I let go of him and wiped the tears from my eyes. I saw that behind him was Mike and my favourite bitch boy. He walked over to my hospital bed and hugged me. When he let go I ruffled his fluffy blonde hair, "Oi! Careful with the hair, woman!" I giggled from the way he reacted, and because I was hearing him say that in real life. Not in a discord call, but right next to me. I smiled brightly, almost forgetting the news about the surgery.
I then heard some shoe squeaks, and nurses yelling 'Slow down's.
I was so curious as to what the commotion was about, that I didn't even realize I was starting to get up from my bed. I was brought back to reality as I quickly dropped to the floor, my legs being too weak to let me walk. Toby, Tommy and Mike helped me get up and sit back on my bed, "Jesus, woman. Be more careful, you're too weak to go exploring right now." I just sighed as I played with my fingernails. Then I saw something flash through the doorway, and then a loud smack against a wall. I winced at how painful it sounded, as did everyone else in the room.
"Hola amigos!!" A familiar voice said as a body appeared in the doorway. I sat on my bed, jaw practically on the ground, as I saw that the body was Alex's. I tried to stand up but felt Toby grab me and pull me back on my bed, "Be careful, Bri. You literally just fell. Take it easy." He said as if he was my parent. I rolled my eyes playfully, and Alex came up to my bed and hugged me, lifting me up from my seat on the bed a little. I hugged him as tightly as I did to Toby, maybe even a little less tight, since I was still weak from my fall, but it didn't matter. I was still just as happy to see him as I was to see Toby.
"Hey, mamacita!" Alex said as he placed me down on my bed again, "No." I giggled, "I just drove a few hours to come and see you, and I can't even call you mamacita?" he whined acting hurt. "Oh shut up before I call security on you." I smirked, his eyes went wide as the others just went "ooo". Alex grabbed me by my shoulders and started shaking me, "You can't do that to me!" He cried, "And why not? I have the button to call one of the nurses right here," I said pointing to my remote of buttons. "I'm gonna take Tommy and Toby to the hotel, they're pretty tired from their flight." Mike spoke up and started heading 2 the door, "Aw, okay then." I said as I pulled Toby and Tommy into a group hug, "Bye Bri! We'll be back in the morning!" Toby said smiling as he walked out the door after Mike and Tommy and shut it.
"So.. when did you guys plan on coming?" I asked Alex after he sat down next to me on my bed, "On that day you first came to the hospital. Mike called Toby first, since he's his favourite." Alex explained, "Yeah, Toby's like a little brother to Mike. Even if they don't talk a lot." I said as I played with my hands. "Are you gonna need to have surgery?" Alex asked in a sort of whisper voice.
Shit.. I almost forgot about that. How am I supposed to tell him? I took a deep breath so that my voice wouldn't be so shaky, "Y-yeah. I'm gonna need to have surgery." I whispered, not wanting my voice to crack.
Before I knew it I felt Alex wrap his arms around me, and pull me tighter into his chest. "I'm sorry, Bri..." he started, "I'll stay here for as long as I can, OK?" he said comfortingly, I nodded and hugged him. We sat in a comfortable silence, in each other's arms before I felt his head start to lower on mine. Is he falling asleep? I thought to myself. "A-alex?" He hummed a reply, obviously half asleep, "We can lie down if you want.." I suggested, "Okay." He agreed as I felt him start to fall back on the bed.
He adjusted himself so that we could both fit on the small bed, I slept with the lower part of my body on the bed, and my chest and head on his chest. I heard his light snores in the quiet room, He looks so cute when he's sleeping. I thought before I drifter off into a peaceful slumber.
