Help Is On The Way

Start from the beginning

Police came up to me and immediately tried to push me back into the crowd. I sighed as I reached into my wallet and showed them my International Provisional License. They glanced at each other before allowing me in. I frowned, stuffing my wallet into my pockets. Walking towards the person who looked like they were the most responsible here.

My eyes landed on a male that was directing people. Yelling at them and ordering them to stand in position. I rushed up to him, still tired after the run. He looked up at me, cocking a brow because he didn't recognize me.

"And you are?"

I took a deep breath, "White Noise. Nice to meet you too." I stood up straight, fixing my posture as he eyed me weirdly, "How may I help you?"

He hummed as he glanced around, "I think we already have enough people on the scene. We don't need you here-"

"STAND BACK! OR ILL JUMP!"

He was rudely cut off by the male that was standing near the edge of the building. It looked like he was trying his hardest to make the heroes back off. And get far away from him. My eyes fell onto the male in front of me again. He looked unfazed as he glanced at his watch. Checking the time.

I furrowed my brows as I noticed that he didn't actually care about saving the person's life. He was waiting for his shift to end. I scoffed as I rolled my eyes. He hummed and turned around from me to address the certain situation with the new arrivals. I frowned and glanced around. Once I made sure his attention was not on me. I made a dash to the entrance of the skyscraper.

"HEY! GET HER!"

I heard the man yell at me. I frowned as I jumped over the cops that were guarding the doors. Dodging more people as they came running after me like ordered. I sneered as more ran towards me. Grunting, I stepped out of the way. Losing my footing in the process. I stumbled around, accidentally stepping onto a person. I grinned as I jumped throw the open windows. Tumbling onto the floor as I made contact with the ground.

Rolling, I jumped up, making my way to the nearest staircase. Since I knew, the elevators were going to take too long. I could hear yells behind me, demanding I make my way back out. Ignoring them, I perked up as I found the emergency exit. Pushing open the door, I rush up the stairs. Hoping that I wasn't too late.

I knew I was getting near as I heard voices. Which I assumed came from the heroes onto the staircase. The voices laced with worry. I panted as I finally walked up the eighth set of stairs. Standing in front of the heroes in exhaustion. Their eyes landed on me. Probably questioning who I was and what was I doing here. I sighed as I took a deep breath. Trying to make my heartbeat go down to normal.

"If you're going out there to save him. Then that's a lost cause. We have been here at one o'clock in the afternoon. Now it's four." One of them spoke, "I'll save my energy if I were you."

I scoffed and rolled my eyes, "You guys are pathetic."

I mumbled under my breath. Apparently, they had heard what I had said. Which didn't bother me much. I was simply stating the truth. If nobody was going to tell them then I will. A guy stepped out with his hands clenched beside his sides.

"Say that again, you little-"

I didn't want to hear what he was going to say. Nor did I care. My attention was only on the male outside. Standing near the edge of the rooftop. I pushed through them towards the door. Pushing it open. That alarmed the male that was outside.

"What the hell are you doing."

A hero called out as he watches me step out of the stairwell. I only shrugged my shoulders as I kept steering forward to the black-haired male in front of me. Shivering has the cold rain touched me. It was currently sprinkling outside. Not a big deal. The black-haired male freaked out and stumbled back as he watched me in his closet to him. He suddenly pointed at me. I could see the terror in his eyes.

"STOP!" He yelled, "Back off! Don't get closer."

I halted in my tracks. Waiting for him to calm down. He wiped his tears with the back of his hand. His lavender eyes were still on me, following my every move. He sniffed as he kept his eyes forward.

"Hey! Guy! Step back from the edge!"

"DON'T GET ANY CLOSER!" He looked down, stumbling over his words, "O-Or. OR ILL JUMP!"

The hero glanced at me, "You heard him. Take a step back." He was about to cut in until I gave him a death stare, "Back down now."

He grunted and took a step back, obeying my orders. I nodded in satisfaction. I raised my hands, holding them up beside my head. Showing the shaking male that my hands were certainly empty. I could make out if he was crying or was it the rain that was trailing down his cheeks. But that wasn't important right now. I took a step forward. He took a step back. I took another step forward. He took another step back.

"I'm not going to hurt you unless you answer a question. "

I watched him gulp from the corner of my eyes. I could see the fear lingering in his eyes. And I could sense fear in mines too. I didn't want him to die yet. He was still so young. I shook myself out of my thoughts. Refocusing on the work at hand. I glanced up at the shaken male.

"Are you afraid of death, young man?"

Never knew this chapter was going to stretch this far. So wait up for part two :)
