Hey, Mysky here. I know I haven’t updated in SOO long but I’m sorry. Having a social life is my excuse ;D LMFAO Anyways I’m trying new things. I think I’m going to write the rest of the book in third person. It makes the chapters longer and you can see everyones POV still. I’m probably going to rewrite the other two books in third person as well, if this goes well. After a few chapters, tell me if you guys don’t like it or like it. Deal?

Chapter 9

“Dominic,” Ella said, snapping her fingers in front of his face. He didn’t blink. At all. Ella followed his gaze and her eyes widen. Right in front of was Alyssa and Jake making out like no tomorrow on the ground.

“I need to.... I’m out of here,” Dominic said, turning around and speeding walking out of her sight.

Oh crap.

“Andy,” She said, turning to the Army’s doctor. He showing her some skills he learned on the road. “Will you excuse me?”

He looked at Dominic who was disappearing into the woods, before looking back at her. He wasn’t happy she had to leave; he finally found someone who was just as skilled in medicine as he was. But he knew she needed to help her friend. “Yeah sure go,” he said, and she smiled at him before standing up and leaving.

“Dominic wait!”

He didn’t stop. Ella knew he had heard her, but he still wouldn’t stop. He kept walking away from everyone, bumping into anyone in his way without apologize. He didn’t even stop when they were deep into the woods.

By then Ella was out of breath and he looked completely pissed.

Dominic started pacing back and forth. “Ella did you see that? Oh shit. She likes him- I’ve lost her. Ella I’ve lost her!” When he said the last line he punched a tree.

“Fuck,” he said, shaking his hands. Ella rolled her eyes.

“Only you would be stupid enough to punch a tree,” She said, walking up to him and taking his hand. His knuckles were red from the blood dripping from his scratches. “That must hurt like a bitch.”

“It’s nothing compared to the pain I’m feeling right now, Ella,” Dominic whispered. She looked up at him. She had never seen him so.... lost.

“So give it up, Dom,” She said, her voice soft. “Just give up and run back to her.” He shook his head.

“No... no.... Dominic Virgil Sergeant doesn’t give up.”

She smirked. “Virgil?”

Dominic smiled, a real one. “Laugh it up, Eleanor.”

“Seriously, I don’t get why you don’t just go and tell her you still love her,” Ella said, ignoring his comment.

“You’re the one to speak,” he started, “You’re the one jealous of a zombie.”

Ella hated when Dominic brought this. What he didn’t know was that she was jealous.. but not for the reasons he thought.

“I’m not jealous!” She lied. “And don’t change the subject.”

“But changing the subject is fun,” Dominic smirked, earning him a smack from Ella. She sighed. She knew that talking to him was useless. He was just as stubborn as her.

“I’m going back, you coming?” She asked, backing up slowly.

Dominic shook his head. “I’m going to stay here for awhile, maybe plan a murder.”

Ella smirked. “Hey, don’t plan anything without me.”

Dominic laughed as she left. He loved having Ella as a friend. He sometimes wondered why they weren’t friends before.
