We Are Going To Save Her

Start from the beginning

"Hawks had dropped it off earlier." He hummed in pure excitement, "We have to use this to camouflage into the commissioned men." He smiled as he passed me a bag. Filled with the necessities we needed. "Look, Shota! We even have one for you!"

I noticed the missing presence in the room. I groaned, "Where's Asher."

Hizashi pushes the clothes into my hands, "Oh, he went ahead. Telling us that something bad was going to happen. And try to come as fast as possible." He smiled, "So go hurry up."

I raised a brow but accepted it anyway. Holding the clothing in my hands. Hizashi smiled at me and shot me a thumbs-up as he pushed me towards the bathroom.

"Keep her safe. Would you, Shota."

I glanced back at [Y/N]'s father. It looked like he was trying his best to choke down an sob. I nodded, glancing at the purpled hair student. I give him a reassuring look, which he just took. And turned around, his back facing me, but gave me a sad nod. I sighed as I walked towards the bathroom.

I am going to save you, [Y/N]. No matter what. I'm always going to be by your side.

[Y/N]'s POV:

"Now shall we get back to business?"

Stephine closed the door behind her, now in a whole new attire. No tea stains could be found as she sat down on the chair in front of me. I shrugged, dodging any eye contact with her. More intrigued by what Hawks was doing now. Little did I know I was falling into a daydream. Until the sound of Stephine clearing her throat broke me out of it.

I sighed, picking my eyes with her. The most I could do is to try to intimidate her. And wait until my backup arrives. She smiled, opening up her hands. I stared at it tiredly as a man came up, placing a file folder onto her hands. Chuckling, she opened it, lying the sheets of paper onto the table for me to see. She picked one up, which I assumed was the most important.

"Do you know what this is?"

I hummed, "I can't read." I blurted out.

She just overlooks me, already used to my disobedient behavior. Since she was the one ordering me around for three years. Smiling wickedly, she turned the paper around to her. Stilling staring into my violet eyes. Ready to catch my 'mortified' reaction.

"Then let me read it for you." She licked her lips, "[Y/N], Shinsou. Trainee number 2061. Quirk: Brainwash. By touching an opponent, the user could brainwash-"

"Yea. Yea. I got it. I had to reread that every single time I sign paperwork. Just get to the important part." I glanced at the clock, "I need to go get some groceries tomorrow."

She frowned. A new type of confusion clouded up her mind, "You know we're holding you hostage, right?"

I acted stunned as I gasped, "Oh my god? I am?" My voice laced with sarcasm, "I didn't know. Because I could literally knock out these four guards behind me. And run away because the security sucks."

She gritted her teeth, "As I told you before. If you make a little mistake. I will kill your family and everyone you loved. And you're so closed."

I sat up, chuckling at her death threat, "And as I said before." I shot her a mincing glare, "If you touch a single hair on their bodies. I'll kill you before you know it. Cutting your head off is the best part. Imagine how satisfying that is."

She shivered in place but then smiled, "Oh. I know what you're trying to do." She tapped her finger against the wooden table. "You're trying to overcome your trauma." She laughed, "What happened to my little [Y/N]. You were so happy when we told you that you were going to be a special hero."

She sat up, straightening her posture, "I loved the noises you made as we threw you into training. Oh, how you whimpered in pain. How sad you were when we left you on the floor to cry. Covered in sweat and dust as night fell." She looked into my eyes, "You remembered, huh?"

I shrugged, "Remembered what? Be more descriptive."

She laughed as she shook her head, "Don't play dumb with me [Y/N]. You knew I always saw through them." She sneered, "I saw how life flashed back into your eyes. Like all your worries were eased." She kissed her teeth, glaring at the male that was still hiding behind the couch for the past 15 minutes now. "You remember the accident."

"What if I did." I hummed, "Are you going to use that against me too?" I glanced at her ID that was attached to her chest, "I have gotten used to it already. I have been through those torturing training." I smiled, "As you said, what doesn't kill me makes me stronger."

She rolled her eyes, "You're useless."

"I know."

She went back to degradation, depressing words. I felt numb as she continued talking. Pointing out the things I did wrong and how I should never exist in the first place. I found it kind of funny how I'm used to all of this.

If I could only go back in time to tell my younger self to never become a hero.

Unfazed at her words, I silently tapped the heel of my foot on the floor. Tapping a steady rhythm as Stephine kept ongoing. I encased myself into my headspace. Blocking out her voice as I fell into a daze. Suddenly a memory of Shota popped into my mind. My family and friends not far behind.

Guess not everything is lost.

I smiled. Recalling moments I had shared with him. I was kicked out of my thoughts when the door brushed open. There stood Merikh, panting like crazy.

"THE FIRST FLOOR GUARDS ARE ALL KNOCKED OUT!"
