The sun rose high up, illuminating your face. The light streamed through the huge window in your room. You sat up slowly, adjusting your eyes to this new morning light. You looked briefly at your digital clock, it read the time '7:45.' You turned the other way facing towards the window again, sat up all the way now. Your hands gripped the covers and threw them to the opposite side of the large bed. Your legs freed themselves from the warm sheets. Huffing, you got up and went to take a shower to wake up, like you did the morning before.

Your legs carried you through the small hallway separating your bathroom and closet. Stumbling into your closet, you dropped the towel and chose a comfy outfit for the day. You sported pale green overall's and a white top. Bending down to a drawer, you found some matching white socks with green floral designs around the ankle. You tugged them on easily. You strode out, greeting the morning sun once again. Finished making your bed, you left your chambers, heading for the elevator. Loki passed you quietly, which startled you a bit. He entered first, you speed walked to get into the elevator before the doors closed. Thankfully you made it. Loki had already pressed the main living button you noticed as you gathered yourself again. "Good morning." You addressed him dryly. No answer. That was okay though, you didn't expect one, especially from the man you just helped to capture yesterday. However, you could feel again the same sense of being watched. You shrugged it off. The elevator doors opened, you strutted out, Loki following you. Everybody was already there as the good morning's started to pass around. You ran to get some scrambled eggs which was already set on the table. Loki took a seat on the sofa and found the book he'd been reading yesterday.
"Hey kid!" Tony patted your shoulder as he walked by you. "We have a mission this morning. Will you babysit reindeer games over there while we're gone?" He asked looking over at Loki.
"Reind- Uh sure." You replied looking over at Loki as well.
You turned again to face Tony. "Great. You don't have to do much. Just make sure he stays out of trouble. If he stresses you out just tell JARVIS and he'll notify me immediately." Tony instructed.
"Tony are you sure it's alright to leave Y/N alone with him?" Cap bud in on the conversation, "If I wasn't sure I wouldn't have asked her to do such a thing. She's-" Tony stopped in his reply. "How old are you?" He looked at you. "18." You said. Tony continued his sentence, "She's 18. She can handle herself." "I know she's perfectly capable. I'm worried that Loki might cause an issue and upset her." Cap faced you grumpily, stepping from behind the dark kitchen counter. "Which is why.. she can tell JARVIS and JARVIS can tell me." Tony smirked sarcastically. "I'll be alright guys. I've babysat trouble makers before, I'm sure he will be no different." Reassuringly you added, watching them. "See. She'll be fine." Tony bragged to Cap. Steve just rolled his eyes and left to talk to Bucky. (A/N: #Stucky)
You checked back to the sofa where Loki was sat on. Still there. Hadn't budged since he entered the room.
Minutes passed as you ate breakfast quietly, reserved to yourself. The team went to get geared up for the early mission.
"We're heading out now kid, we'll probably be back by 1, there's some pizza in the fridge in case you get hungry." Stark explained as the Avengers followed behind him. You nodded, "See ya later. Good luck." You smiled towards Nat. "Don't let my brother get to your head lady Y/N" Thor gently told you has he too made his way to the roof. "I won't, I'm not easily pushed around." You mentioned. Thor bowed then finally left to the Quinjet like the rest of the team had.
You and Loki were alone. Just you and Loki. Alone.
You'll be fine, you thought to yourself. You turned to the elevator, you were going to get a book from your room, you noticed though the exact book you wanted was already on the counter. Huh. Weird? Was that there before? You grabbed the book and headed over to the sofas, taking a seat on the opposite side of the living room. You opened to the first chapter and started to read.
