HADES D'AMIANO

The cell was dark, the slim shaft of light in the middle of the ceiling, lighting up the place to a considerate amount. The way this place was designed, it couldn't have been worse but it was never one of my concerns. These fuckers deserved to be here. Riven stood ahead of me and with a court nod, he fiddled with the bolt, the metal lock clicking open hereafter. We walked in, shallow unstable breathing coming from the shadows.

My eyes landed on the moving body, small distressing movements. For me, James Torres was simply another breathing body that wouldn't remain alive for too long. With one hand sign, Riven hauled his slack body off the ground, pushing him aggressively to sit on the chair placed in the middle of the room.

The above light fell on his face, unveiling the dark purple welts that had deepened over the day. His left eye was almost shut, swollen from the blows. He wouldn't be seeing a shit out of that for a while, that's for sure. His face bore congealed blood and the once expensive suit was ripped in pieces— basically, he was an bloodied mess.

"The boys did a good job." I turned to meet Riven, a smirk pulling on his lips at my words.

I took a seat on the chair in front of James, reclining back and crossing my arms, satisfied to see him flinch in pain every once in a while. He peered up from his bloodied eyes, his cracked lips quivering in agony.

"James Torres, how convenient to have you here." I spoke, striking every of his nerves.

His body fought against the ropes bound around his hands and legs, emitting a pitiful groan. Once he saw that it was pointless, his face contorted in anger, pushing him to return his gaze back to me.

"I'm not sure why you brought me here. I don't even know you people." He complained.

"Just one thing. Tell me who do you work with." I demanded, watching his face morphed into surprise before dropping back to how it was.

He chuckled but his laugh soon became stifled. "What gives you the impression that I work with someone? I've got my own freaking nightclub in the city."

"You had. I blew it up." I said, satisfied with the look on his face.

I leaned forward and gripped the thin material of his shirt. In a single glance, his whole demeanor shifted, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down. He might have sensed that he was about to go down at any minute.

"Don't fuck with me James. I know you wouldn't dare to attack my men unless you were backed up by someone above. Someone that's making you do all this." I clenched my teeth, his body huddled beneath me.

"I don't know what you're talking about. This has nothing to do with me." He swallowed, his eyes flickering between me and Riven.

I tightened my grasp on his collar, pushing him further into the wooden chair and stood up, lurking over his trembling body. "You tell me the name and I'll consider about letting you go."
