The sound of the front door clicking shut was the only sound in the house, aside from Sam's own footsteps, that Sam heard when she finally got home from another drawn out day of school.

More like she barely managed to survive yet another day of school...

Sam sighed while she set her backpack onto the floor of her room as she walked in, leaving the lights completely off.

She made sure the windows were locked before she let the blinds down in front of the window and closing said blinds, making the room as dark as possible while the sun was out.

Sam just... didn't want to talk to Eteled or Austin at the moment. She was just.. tired. Tired of being around too many people. Tired of being scared of nearly everyone at school - it didn't help that about a quarter of the people in her grade bullied her for nearly no reason.

She was just tired.

She needed a break from being around, well, everyone.

And she needed a break from pretending to be fine being around everyone, when she wasn't fine.

Sam took off her shoes and hoodie before leaving them on the floor right by her backpack. She figured she could put them away later, since that wasn't her priority at the moment.

Sam just silently lay on her bed, resting in the quiet comfort of her bedroom in the dark. Sam didn't know why, but just lying down in her room while it was dark just made her feel strangely calm and less anxious. It was her odd way of just... giving herself a breather - a minute to just.. calm down.

Before Sam had gotten the Wii, she would do this about once a week - sometimes twice since her mother wasn't home about 80 percent of the time.

That was another thing, her mother never knew that she did this, that she experienced such anxiety from being around everyone... and Sam never had any plans of telling her about it.

She didn't have a reason as to why she didn't want to tell her mother about it, she just didn't want to...

After about ten minutes of this, Sam found it a bit odd how the Wii hadn't powered on all on it's own like it usually had. She found it odd how Eteled or Austin hadn't tried to talk to her yet.

For a second, she considered turning on the Wii, pretending that she was fine, and just talking to them.

But, no...

But maybe.. They'd understand that she needed a break from everyone every once in a while...

For once, she just wanted one day to feel less like just another day to survive, and more like a day to live. But, chances  were, that would never happen.

For now, she was never planning on telling anyone about this...

Even though a certain Hellbeast already knew.

He was keeping an eye on her as Eteled requested out of worry.

He didn't like seeing others hide their feelings...

It reminded him way too much of himself.
