A girl tried to approach Cash, but he ignored her. Cash's friend laughed, then stated, "You won't be able to stay away from street racing for too long, my friend. It's in your blood." Cash patted his friend's back, then uttered, "It's late, Mason. I'm going home now." Mason handed Cash a stack of hundred-dollar bills, then said, "Thank you for your help, Cash. Here is your share. We managed to make a lot of money because of you tonight. Drive safely." Cash took the money, then responded to Mason with, "I came here by taxi, Mason. I wanted to go drinking tonight, but I don't feel like it anymore. I'll see you soon. Bye."
I ran after Cash when I saw him walking towards the street. Cash got startled when I greeted him with, "Hi, Cash." He turned around slowly to face me. Cash frowned, then asked me, "What are you doing here, Leonardo? And where are your bodyguards?" I had completely forgotten about my father's bodyguards. I quickly scanned my surroundings to see where they were. None of them were around. I scratched my head, then answered Cash with, "My father's bodyguards came here with me, but I don't know where they are now. I came here to examine someone's injury. I decided to stick around when I saw the beautiful cars. I never knew that you were a street racer, Cash. You have amazing driving skills, my friend."
Cash scowled, then uttered, "You should have left as soon as you had finished treating the patient, Leonardo. This place is dangerous. People of the underworld sponsor events like these. Who knows how many people have already recognized you." I got startled when Cash came to stand next to me. He threw his arm around my shoulder, then asked me, "Where is your car, Leonardo?" I grabbed my car key, then replied to Cash with, "I parked it not far from here, Cash. What's wrong?" Cash gazed behind us, then responded to me with, "It's nothing. Lead me to your car." I nodded then led Cash to my car. Cash took the key out of my hand, then said, "It's better if I drive." My father's bodyguard was still guarding the car. He frowned when he saw Cash. I put my stuff in the trunk of the car, then got into the passenger seat. I put my seatbelt on, then asked Cash, "Can you tell me what's going on, Cash?" Cash started the car, then responded to me with, "One of Riota's lackeys was observing you. He was probably waiting till you were alone to approach you. These people lure you in with kind words, Leonardo. You're in deep trouble before you know it."
I contemplated for a bit, then asked Cash, "Mr. Riota is a mafia boss, right. What would he want from me, Cash?" Something clicked in my mind the moment I asked Cash the question. I smiled at Cash, then uttered, "Never mind, Cash. I know what his goal was. Thank you for saving me. I would never want to put the lives of my loved ones in danger by becoming a criminal's doctor." Cash sighed, then stated, "Your father should hire experienced bodyguards to protect you guys. It won't be long before someone gets hurt if this keeps up." I nodded in agreement, then stated, "You are right, Cash. I'll talk to my father about it." I looked out of the window, then asked Cash, "Where are you taking me, Cash? I don't recognize this street." Cash ran his fingers through his hair, then replied to me with, "I'm hungry, Leonardo. I'll bring you home after getting something to eat." I smiled while thinking, "The night ended up better than I expected."
Cash parked the car in front of a diner, then said, "I'll be right back, Leonardo." I almost dozed off while waiting for Cash. I was surprised when Cash returned with a bag full of food. He handed me a hot cup of coffee and a bagel, then said, "The owner of this place is very health conscious. So it's safe to eat here." I nodded, then replied to Cash with, "Thank you, Cash." Cash grabbed a burger out of the bag, then uttered, "You are welcome, Leonardo." I took a sip out of my coffee, then asked Cash, "Were you a race car driver before you joined Triton's company, Cash?" Cash shook his head, then answered me with, "No, my father was an illegal race car driver. He taught me how to drive. He lost his life during a race when I was nineteen. I worked as a mechanic to support my family after my father's death. Triton recruited me when he brought his car to the shop where I worked one day. Triton doesn't take his job lightly. I had to undergo heavy training to become a bodyguard. Triton's men are required to provide the company's clients with whatever they need. I have provided security for many wealthy people before. Alexei is the only one who treats his protectors like human beings. That is why I chose to work for him exclusively."
