"He'll be back soon," he informed.

And he was right. Peppermint Butler was rushing behind two people, seemingly siblings because of their identical features. The female rushed over to Finn, gripping his shoulders.

"Finn! Is it true?! There's another human in Ooo?!" She exclaimed franticly.

Finn looked flustered. His face, which was heating up, displayed just how much he liked the princess before him, if his reaction from her mere touch was any evidence at all.

"U-Um, yeah! There is. She-She's right there."

Finn pointed to the side where Y/n was just standing. She felt awkward just standing there. The siblings' heads snapped over to Y/n and, upon seeing her, their eyes widened. The princess quickly made her way over and cupped Y/n's face with her hands, staring at her facial features.

"Oh my glob. . ." She whispered.

The prince made his way over as well, taking hold of one of her calloused hands.

"I cannot believe it," he gently said.

Y/n's face flushed as she tried to keep her eyes from making contact with theirs.

"Um, hi-" She stammered.

The two realized that they were making her uncomfortable and moved away. The princess offered her a smile.

"My apologies on behalf of the both of us. We seemed to have overstepped our boundaries in our excitement." She apologized, immediately falling into her more regal persona.

Y/n only shook her head.

"It's alright. I mean-! Y-Your Majesties, it happens a lot," she told them, stumbling over her words once she realized the positions they held.

The prince raised his hands up.

"No, no, please. You need not address us as such. I am Prince Gumball, but, please, call me Gumball." He introduced.

His sister then stepped forward.

"And I am Princess Bubblegum, but you may call me whatever you please," she said.

The excited gleam in their eyes seemed to have finally died down for the moment.

"What is your name? Where did you come from? Are there others-?" Bubblegum abruptly stopped rambling, noticing that she had, once again, overwhelmed Y/n.

Y/n finally decided to answer.

"My name is Y/n. I came from the ice and I don't know if there are others," she answered truthfully.

Those in the hall just stared at her. The gum twins were just so hyper, too hyper for her liking.

(this got a bit too awkward so I'm just gonna end the flashback here)

Y/n finally came back to her senses.

She was dancing with a candy kid. Yes, that's what she was doing.

There was a punch bowl nearby that seemed to be having the time of his life.

"What a wonderful, marvelous party!" He exclaimed.

(everything is a bit darker now that we know what happened-)

By the base of the tower, where Y/n and the candy boy were dancing, Cinnamon Bun decided that it would be a good idea to gain some attention by attempting a flip.
