"Daddy, I'm gonna need some type of commission for this." I blew hair from my face.
He rolled his eyes and sat a box down in the middle of the floor. Standing up to his feet, he placed his hands on his hips and took a look around the apartment.
It's been 3 days since April and I's birthday party and within those 3 days, I have been helping my dad move into his new apartment. He didn't want a house, so instead his realtor found him these nice apartments called the Piedmont House. It was very nice, but yet not too much for my daddy.
"This is niceeee." I ran my fingers along the marbled countertops.
"For the amount of rent I'm paying a month it better be nice." I heard him mutter across the room.
I ignored him and made my way towards the back where my room would be. My dad has already told me that I would have to spend the majority of my time at my mama's house since it still is her turn to have me, but I was already looking forward to decorating my new room.
Stepping out of the empty room, I checked my phone that kept going off with notifications from my last post on Instagram. I hadn't posted in a while so I decided to post a picture from the night of our birthday party.

I exit out of the app and text April back from earlier. She would've been here with me right now, but Kiari texted her to come over and you know what that shit mean. Hoes really be ditching they cousins for dick, damn shame.
"Lauryn! Come help me get these last few boxes." My daddy yelled from out of the living room.
I kissed my teeth and placed my phone into my back pocket. Soon as I made it into the living room, he was holding the door knob looking at me.
"You may be 18 now, but I'll knock them teeth so far down yo throat." He looked at me.
"Daddy gone now." I laughed pushing him out the door.

"Man, chill out." I laughed as Nick kept raising his voice at the tv.
We was at my spot playing 2k since I ain't have shit to do until later on. This nigga be begging and whining to get on the damn game, but be mad once he start to losing.
"Swear this damn game be cheating man." He stood up, and turned his hat back before returning both hands on the controller.
"Standing up ain't gone protect you from this ass whooping neph!" I laughed, kicking my feet up onto the coffee table.
