"Why you still in the bed?" Qua's voice boomed through my phone.

"I didn't want to get up today." I snuggled more into my pillows. I love a lot of pillows.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." I smiled, he was always so concern.

"You have a good flight?"

"Hell nah. I hate them thangs', but I had to do what I had to." He spoke.

It looked as if he was driving somewhere. His focus was directed to the front of him and he kept swiping over his lips.

"Where you going?"

"I gotta go meet Nick and Kiari over at our new partner's office." He glanced at the camera before putting on signal light.

"Be careful please."

"I'm always careful baby." He smirked.

"Yeah, okay." I shook my head.

My room door softly cracked open and April's head popped in. She gave me a smile and slid inside.

"April!" I hopped up, tossing my phone.

"Daddy's home." She squeezed me into a hug.

"Aht aht!" We heard Qua's voice through the phone.

"Bye, we gotta talk." April picked it up.

"Mhm, I'm sure y'all do." He chuckled.

"Bye." She hung the phone up.

"Why you do him like that?" I laughed crawling back into the bed.

"He so aggy." She slid in beside me.

"I feel like I ain't seen or heard from you in forever." I pouted.

"It's only been a day Lauryn." She laid her head on my lap.

"A day is way too long."

Silence fell over us as I ran my fingers through her hair. I felt like something was off with her. I don't know if it was intuition or the fact that she didn't come inside acting like her normal self.

I was about to ask what was up with her when I felt something wet leaking through my shirt. A sniffle soon followed my realization and I sat up a little bit in confusion.

"April?"

She didn't answer me, instead she just started crying harder. I sat her up and pulled her into a hug. I didn't know what was wrong with her, but I promise I never seen April cry. She's always been the goofy twin. Always saw her laughing, cracking jokes and making a good time out of anything. It was different seeing her like this.

"A, you gotta stop crying and tell me what's wrong."

"I'm.. I'm so em-embarrassed Lauryn." She struggled between crying.

"Embarrassed? Embarrassed for what?"

She wiped her face and looked up at me with tears brimming her eyes. Her nose was red and her eyes were puffy as if she's been crying for days.

"I'm pregnant."

"Deadass?" I gasped.

She nodded and bit her lip to suppress her tears. You ever feel like the world is moving around your still body? My mind was telling me to speak, but I was lost for words. I wanted to be happy. Babies are beautiful blessings and I will love that little human as my own.
