We can work this out! I promise! (Pietro x Reader FF)

The party was fun, while John did not leave my side all night, all of the Avengers came by to say hi or have a Smalltalk. I am not going to lie, my breath stopped for a second when Steve and Bucky came by. But I think I didn't show. I hope.

Laura and Clint decided that they wanted to go. John promised to bring me home safe on time, Clint threatened to kill him if he doesn't, the regular. Then they grabbed the kids and left.
At one point there was only Wanda, Vision, Pietro, Penelope, John, and I left. Of course. It wouldn't be interesting if it was any other way I mean, it has to be this way right.

I got uncomfortable and wanted to leave. John convinced me to stay.
"Its going to be fun." He said. He put his hand on my waist and walked me to the big grey couch.

Pietro's eyes did not move from John's hand, but he tried to stay calm.
"I don't know John, we are the only powerless left here." I said trying to signal that I do not want to stay here.

"What gave me away?" Penelope asked laughing.
I looked at her, somehow, I was upset that she talked to me directly, but then I remembered that we are in public, and I will not kill anybody today.

"What do you mean?" I asked smiling.
"Well, we only met today, you don't know if I have powers or not, and I am really trying to hide them." She said. Somehow, she seemed so nice, that made me hate her more.
In the fight I heard between Pietro and Wanda it seemed like she was a bad person but the girl I met tonight was super nice.

"I don't know, I just assumed." I said
"How do you hide them?" John asked and I was happy that I did not have to talk now.
His arm was leaning around me on the couch and Pietro's eyes were piercing trough me.

"I don't talk about them, I work a normal job and help out only if there is a big thing." She said. "I have a totally normal life."

"What Job do you have?" John kept the conversation going because if he doesn't none of us will. He felt that.
"I work at a bakery."
"Is that where you met Pietro?" I interrupted. I shouldn't but I will not be sitting here while I have the chance to find everything out.

"No, I actually met him on a mission. On one of the "Important" things I helped. We spent 2 Months in a little room together. So, it came naturally that I fell in love with him, he is amazing."

"Oh, I am sure he is, and honest I see." I looked at him and he got visibly uncomfortable. She didn't notice it.
"Penelope, I hope you don't mind me being straight forward," I said while I tried to control my voice. I didn't want her to sense that I was condescending. "But I have never heard of you. I was here like 2 months ago and I didn't see you here. Nobody ever mentioned you and now you are here with a baby. How did that happen?"

And a hush fell over the room. Everybody was shocked about my words except for Pietro. It seemed to me like he knew that this is his punishment, and he accepted every bit of it. He didn't even protect her. He was quiet and kept looking at Johns arm.

But Penelope did get uncomfortable. She fixed her dress, looked at Pietro and tried finding the words to say.

"Well, Y/N we don't know each other, so I wouldn't like to be disrespectful. That's why I will keep the story short. We actually broke up and I found out about the pregnancy later. In the meantime, he had kind of a fling. A girl he was having fun with but when he found out about it, he accepted to let go of her and get back with me."

A girl he was having fun with. That actually did hurt a lot. And everybody felt it because they were all preparing to grab me in case I fall. But I kept myself together.

"Isn't that harsh to the girl?" I asked, my voice got lower.
"Well, I felt a little bad for her, but he said that it wouldn't be a problem since nothing is more important than our little baby. So, I didn't really think about it anymore."
