We can work this out! I promise! (Pietro x Reader FF)

I must be a fool for thinking that just because now that I am informed about the situation that everything would go back to normal. To be fair, it did go back to normal, just not the normal I expected.

Pietro drove me home that night, respectfully, to the door, he gave me a hug and left. I was hopeful that something will change now, so of course, my mood was fantastic.

Unfortunately, the mood didn't hold on for long, it switched the first time I went back to the tower to see Wanda.
"What is on you mind sweetheart?" Wanda asked. I wasn't sure if she kept her promise never to read my mind or if she did and wanted me to tell her.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked. "You just did." She smiled.
"That day when Pietro and I met to talk, did he say something when he came home?"

She sat back up straight and cleared her throat. "I think you shouldn't hold on to that evening too much my dear. He hasn't talked to me about It but I do know that it was not easy for him."

"He told me that nigh to give him time but that has been one week ago, and nothing happened."

"Hmm... give him some more time maybe." Wanda said coming closer. She gave me a warm hug and I felt comforted right away. She was right. I promised to give him time so that's what I decided to do.
But it was hard. Whenever I went to see Wanda and saw them together acting like a happy family when I knew they were not, it just felt wrong. Every time he looked at me from the side, I like to imagine that he looks at me as in a search for help. But weeks passed and he didn't even look at me properly.

Penelope on the other side was looking very sharp and directly in my direction. If looks could kill, I would have been a dead girl.
One time she finally cached me in the kitchen alone, no Wanda and especially no Pietro. Apparently, this was her Chance.

"Don't you have your own place to stay?" She sharply turned me around from the kitchen corner.

I tried to hide the fact that I was shocked and tried to stay cool and cold. "Excuse me?"
"Oh yes, that's the right words. You heard what I said. How can you stay here so often? Did your new parents also abandon you since your real ones did and now you came here to make it hard for Pietro?"

Her words hurt me. This meant that Pietro told her about my parents. She knew why Clint and Laura are so important to me and that's exactly where she attacked me.
"Why would I make it hard for Pietro if you are the love of his life, aren't you enough for him?"

"Listen Y/N, I gave birth to his child, so I will forever be his number one. You should know where your place is, don't try to play important just because you are friends with Wanda. You are literally nothing in here, you mean nothing to me and especially not to Pietro so just keep your mouth shut or I will forget about myself."

"How about you make a step back" I heard from behind me, I turned around quickly and I couldn't believe, Clint and Tony just walked into the kitchen. Clint walked straight up to Penelope just as if he wanted to push her away, while Tony followed him knowing exactly what he was up to.
"Easy Hawkeye" Tony managed to say before he grabbed his shoulders. Clint stood close to Penelope and looked her in the eyes. "Why don't you repeat to me what you said because I might reply."

Penelope made a step back and looked at Tony, but he didn't he turned his face to her also expecting a reply.

"I am just annoyed that she is here every day. That's what I tried to tell her. No need to get dramatic."

Tony raised an eyebrow. "We aren't exactly celebrating your presence either Penelope and you have stayed here for a while now." Clint and I both turned to Tony. I didn't expect him to pic a side. Well, I don't know if he picked a side but it felt like he was trying to protect me.

"I am here as Pietro's girlfriend Tony, I have to stay here." She snaped back.

"Penelope, with all due respect we need to show you, I don't exactly trust you since you since you betrayed me twice in two different missions, so I for my part only tolerate you in this tower." All of us still stood in the same position until a voice made us turn around.

"What is going on?" Pietro asked holding Steve in his arms.

Before anyone of us could tell something, Penelope started her acting for which she deserved an Oscar again. "I just asked Y/N for a simple favor and then they came in and accused me."

She walked to him and took Steven. Pietro looked at me, then he looked at Clint and then he looked down without saying a word. Just when he was about to turn around Penelope continued. "Why aren't you saying anything?"
He looked back at me and in that second, I grabbed my phone that was on the counter and walked out.

I ran to the elevator and from the back I heard Penelope complain "see, she just runs away. She literally does this all the time."

"This happened before?" Pietro asked shocked. Penelope didn't reply. "Why do you keep attacking her all the time. She is literally avoiding you. You should do the same." Pietro said and speeded away. I was facing the elevator who took three times as long as he used to, so I didn't see where he went, but I tried to act like I don't care.

When I came home, I helped Laura with the dinner and then went to my room. I didn't come out until Clint came home. We ate and I was surprised that he didn't mention anything from that day. So, I kept quiet as well.
After dinner Laura went to her office to finish something, I washed the dishes Clint brought the Kids to bed.

When he was done, he came to the kitchen and stood next to me.
"I am sorry about today." He said in a calm voice. "I heard everything she said. Look Y/N I just... I just hope you know that Laura and I really love you and we only want to protect you. Maybe its best if you stay away from the tower for a while. I don't want you to get hurt anymore. I am sure you can meet Wanda outside the tower. "

I nodded. Of course, he said that, he never knew about what is going on. I never told them. But I know he was right, just because Pietro told me everything and wanted to work on something, it doesn't mean that I should be in his face all the time. Everything will work out, at some point.

I finished the dishes and went to my room.

I was scrolling through my phone when suddenly:

"Are you okey Y/N?"
