I looked in a daze at Zachariel when he turned. He still looked as sexy as ever. I pulled Zachariel into my arms, then kissed him intensely. Zachariel smiled, then uttered, "You better get dressed now, Alexei. We will be late if we don't leave in half an hour." I placed a kiss on Zachariel's forehead, then stated, "I have a surprise for you, Zachariel. I will tell you all about it after the wedding ceremony is over." Zachariel kissed me softly, then replied to me with, "I can't wait to find out what you have in store for me, Alexei."

Genevieve, Dominique, and Jacques ran into the room just when I had finished getting dressed. The children looked beautiful in their wedding outfits. Zachariel took a photo of them to commemorate the moment. Ocean walked into the room, then said, "Bertha caught the flu, sir. She won't be able to come to the wedding with us today." I sighed while pondering about the situation. Madeline could fill in for Bertha. It was in her job description from the beginning. I decided to ignore it when I found out that Zachariel didn't like her. Zachariel winced when he heard me say, "Tell Madeline to get ready for the wedding. She will help you look after the kids today, Ocean." Ocean quickly walked out of the room to deliver the message to Madeline. I placed a kiss on Zachariel's cheek, then asked him, "Was it wrong of me to ask her to join us, Zachariel?"

Zachariel shook his head, then answered me with, "No, Alexei. You made the right decision. She is the right person for the job. Don't mind me, and help me get the kids downstairs." We left the moment Madeline declared that she was ready for departure. The kids couldn't stop complimenting Madeline on her beauty. Ulrich was in charge of our safety that weekend. Ulrich smiled when the kids introduced themselves to him. My father approached me the moment we arrived. He smiled broadly at me, then uttered, "Chance is waiting for you upstairs, Alexei. He is quite nervous. Try to calm him down before he ruins everything." I sighed while thinking that Chance was being over-dramatic. He had been living with Briac for years now. They even had a child together. I didn't understand why he had to be so emotional.

My father smirked at me, then said, "Wait till it's your turn to get married, Alexei." I frowned, then responded to my father with, "Zachariel and I are planning to elope, dad. We are going to have a small ceremony with just the kids and us in Paris." My father looked in shock at me. I ignored my father and walked towards the entrance of the mansion. I smiled when I heard Zachariel say, "Alexei is joking, Alexandre. My family would never allow me to elope. They have been looking forward to our wedding for months now." My father grabbed Zachariel's shoulder, then uttered, "Thank God, Zachariel. I was about to have a heart attack just now." Chance couldn't stop pacing back and forth in his room. He was giving me a headache. I pushed him on a sofa, then asked him, "What are you nervous about, Chance? You and Briac know each other better than anyone." Chance grabbed my hand, then said, "Briac and I got together when we were teenagers, Alexei. I'm the only one he ever dated. What if Briac realizes after we get married that I'm not the one for him?"

I looked Chance straight in the eye, then answered him with, "Stop spouting nonsense, Chance. Briac confessed to you first, remember? My brother is crazy about you. Don't disappoint him by acting all jittery and crazy on your wedding day. You two have been acting like a married couple for years now. You finally got the chance to make it official. So don't waste it." I groaned when I heard Chance say, "You are right, Alexei. No one can take him away from me now. He will be mine forever." Chance laughed like a maniac while gazing at the wedding arbor from the window. I asked Chance's father to keep an eye on him, then went to see how Zachariel and the kids were doing. Genevieve yelled, "Daddy, my feet hurt!" the moment she saw me. She was sitting on Madeline's lap and didn't want me to pick her up. I had no other choice than to kneel in front of Madeline to check on Genevieve's feet. Genevieve's feet, fortunately, hadn't blistered. Ocean apologized to me for being careless, then said, "Zach went to call someone to bring another pair of shoes for Genevieve, sir." I nodded while looking in Zachariel's direction.
