SOLUM// Technoblade X reader

"And it goes so on, the whole village is like they're preparing for a revolution." Priya said taking a sip from her tea. "They think he will kill everyone, including you. But I find that horrible and dumb." She said.

"They all assume things about him, he really is a nice fellow." You sighed, Techno was the Topic for the last hour, you didn't mind talking about him, it was the things the people said in the village that bothered you.

"Oh my, almost forgot, there's a festival tonight, do you want to go?" Priya asked excitedly, sitting up. "Only if you want to."
"Let's just stay home, festivals are not my thing." You said

"Oh C'mon, maybe Jac would be there, you two are friends aren't you?" She asked. What if people didn't want to talk with you, the whole village is talking about you anyways, it would just make everything worse than it already is.

"Jac is not our friend anymore. And if I'd was to show up people wouldn't appreciate it I'm sure." You said taking a sip of your cup.

"What? First of all you grew up with Jac, wouldn't you like to see him again?" She asked.

"No. Priya I have something to tell you, Jac is a Pillager." You said, Priya on the other hand looked unfazed, like it was something casual.

"Oh I know." She said. "He told me years ago, it was our small secret, then he left. But I wanted to tell you before." She said. Jac and Priya were friends before, but didn't think he would tell her that he was an enemy. Connor all that time was sitting in a sofa awkwardly staring at Priya. She didn't care to acknowledge him though. "So, still no?"

"Look I'd love to, but I don't have the best name in the village right the moment. I don't think it's a good idea." You said, Priya looked disappointed. She was expecting you to say yes, as you did to any of her offers back in the day.
"Then I'm going alone. But anytime you want to join me, I'll be at the water fountain as always." She said and stood up. "It was nice seeing you N/N."
"You too Priya." You said.

Connor traced her as she left the house. The door closed and silence fell. It was quiet. The sun shining through the stained glass window reflecting on the floor, in colourful patterns. You sighed closing your eyes.

"So..." Connor started. "What now? Are you sure you don't want to go to the festival?" He asked. You opened your eyes and looked at him, he was smiling slightly.
"I don't know. It would be fun, I'm just scared to show my face at this point." You said. It was hard that people judged you by who you love. And you didn't care about peoples opinions often but this time it was different. So much different.

"If I go with you?" Connor said. You sighed, if he'd come it would be great, you didn't have to be unprotected. And he would have some fun too.
"Fine." You said. Connor stood up instantly and you did too, he grabbed his sword and clipped it on his belt. He opened the door and you two walked out. The music was already playing, you became more excited the step you came closer to the music, it was upbeat, fast, something the villagers dance to all the time. You saw a couple familiar faces. Some frowned some smiled at you, it really was the type of person you came across.

Finally you reached the middle of the village, people were dancing in couples and they were having fun. You spotted Priya at the water fountain as she said that she would be there. You grabbed Connors hand and walked over. She saw you pretty fast and stood up.

"You came! Oh how great, I thought I'd be alone." She said hugging you. "Want a Dance?" She asked. You nodded and grabbed her hand. The music picked up, you twirled around Priya. She pulled you in, and you put your hand in hers. Everyone was doing the same dance so it wasn't something new. You moved your left foot back Priya chasing it with hers.
You moved to the rhythm of the song, she pushed you away and twirled around you. The couples of the dance came into a circle holding hands, you joined in, the circle started going around, jumping happily. Then everyone broke hands and got back into their couples.

The song slowly came to and and everyone stopped. A slower song came on, you sat down at the water fountain, Connor sat next to you, while Priya was saying hello to people.

"Why don't you ask her for a dance?" You asked looking at him.
"Oh, no, I'm not a dancer." He said
"C'mon now, I know you like her a little bit." You said punching him in the arm softly. "She likes you I'm sure." You said.
Connor sighed and walked over to Priya. He said something to her that she smiled at and grabbed his hand. He looked at you blushing and you gave him a thumbs up.

You watched them as they danced on the dusty gravel. Connor holding her close. The sun was painting the sky into red and orange colours, the birds chirping barely being heard over the music. The sound of the water fountain and the people cheering mushed up in one peaceful picture. These are the memories you wanted to have from the village.

Suddenly the music stopped. People gone silent. The slow sound of hooves came closer. You looked at the people, failing to see what was going on. You stood up and walked between them. Connor had his sword out and his eyes focused on the strange intruder. Then you finally saw him.

Technoblade, he is here, and people are scared for their lives. You turned around, everyone started backing up, walking or running away. They were scared.

But why?
