It seemed as though we got back to Asgard in a matter of minutes. When we arrived Heimdall was laying on the floor unconscious. "Get him to the healing room, now!" I shouted.

Flashback:

"Colette," Aunt Frigga gleamed at me, "Loki," she turned her head. "what I'm about to teach the both of you is something called phasing. Any guesses on what it is?"

The room was silent, and for a second it was calm. There was a beautiful mural painted on the ceiling. Clouds of all colors decorated it. One of the reasons this room was my favorite in the whole palace.

"Is it invisibility?" Loki disturbed the peace.

"I believe that's called, invisibility." I raised my brow at him sarcastically, "Obviously it isn't."

"At least I guessed." He snarled.

"I know the answer I just wanted to give you a chance to answer correctly for once." I crossed my arms dramatically and faced him.

"Oh please," he scoffed, "go on then."

I turned to Aunt Frigga proudly. She didn't look amused but she still nodded her head, gesturing to say my answer.

"Phasing, from what I've heard, is when someone travels through space or particles or something-"

"Ok now that doesn't make sense." Loki chuckled.

"She's right, Loki, not completely but partially. Phasing in teleporting, in a sense. It isn't as complicated as it seems."

I nudged Loki and smiled, he actually smirked back. "I'll give you that one, I suppose."

It took me weeks to learn. Loki, however, was never very fond of it. He called it being lazy, 'If you have to go somewhere, just walk' he used to say. In my eyes, he just never got the hang of it but was too embarrassed to say anything.

Now:

I phased into the castle to find Loki. His mind was easy to sense since his thoughts were loud, but like I said, I can't figure out his thoughts.

It's like when you have a dream, and you know what happened, or at least you think you do. The more you try to focus on it the more it seems to fade away. It's frustrating as hell.

Nonetheless, I found Loki trudging down the corridor. He looked me up and down then smiled at me. "I would stay and chat but I really have something to do."

"Whats' your plan?" I asked calmly. "And don't feed me more lies."

He winced, looked away, then faced me again. "You've chosen a side, Thor's side. I can't trust you."

"I didn't know there was sides." I grinned in disbelief.

Loki scoffed, "I'm sure you did. Ever since we were children."

Maybe that was true, but even so, I'd always choose Loki's side. I wasn't completely sure why, but it seemed right.

The moment that thought crossed my mind I had a strange yet familiar feeling in my head.

"Damn it." I mumbled to myself.

I looked up at Loki, there wasn't an emotion I could read.

"Well say something. You can't just get into my mind and not say anything!" I exclaimed.

"So, your mind has gotten weaker?" He grinned. "That means mine is stronger."

"You caught me off guard-"

"I'll tell you my plan. Alright?"

Loki told me everything starting with killing Laufey, and ending with getting the throne. It didn't seem like a steady plan but I didn't want to argue. After all, I had just gained his trust again. "If anything goes south, meet me on Midgard, that's where I'll go."

He stomped away to go and end Laufey, leaving me to stand alone in the corridor.

It was a silent night with a full moon. People in the town chatted softly. Their lives seemed so simple.
