I Just Want To Be The One You Love
As normal as days could be, well, this didn't even rank. At first everything was fine, a few issues that have been arising for the past month. Missing items, blankets, pillows, even a picture or two and even her phone today. Even one of her windows stopped locking, which was very odd. The feeling of being watched stopped her from relaxing, so when her friends asked to go out with them for the day, she jumped at the chance.
As she walked, her mind raced with how to fix her situation. Maybe she was misplacing things, and maybe this was just her sign to stop staying up watching crime shows. The feeling of constant fear was tiring, keeping her up for most of the night as having her always watching her back during the day.
"Hey, (Y/n)." A feminine voice called, she looked up and saw Tifa. "Looks like we made it at the same time."
"What a coincidence," (Y/n) smiled, "Yuffie's probably inside already."
"Yeah, she gave me a call telling me to hurry up." Tifa giggled, "She didn't try to call you?"
"You know, I lost my phone today." (Y/n) shook her head.
"How many things have you lost this month?" Tifa asked, trying to hide a smile.
"Don't ask."Tifa opened the door and held it for (Y/n), the two girls walked in. Yuffie instantly waved to her friends.
"Finally, you two show up!" She exclaimed, giving (Y/n) a hug. "I tried to call you, (Y/n)."
"In all fairness, we're on time." (Y/n) said, pointing at the clock. "Also, I lost my phone."
Yuffie's stare was suddenly serious, looking right past (Y/n). (Y/n) looked at Tifa in confusion, but she only shrugged."Yuffie?" Tifa tapped her shoulder, Yuffie shook her head.
"Yeah?" She snapped back, "Oh, sorry."
"Anything wrong?" (Y/n) asked, but she shook her head.
"Just fine," Yuffie smiled, "Sit, you two. Let's get this day started."That's what happened, the girls talked amongst themselves. Talking about various topics, (Y/n) even brought up the fact the weird things were still happening. Yuffie suggested that she was probably just misplacing things, which Tifa agreed, (Y/n) nodded, feeling her nerves subside. Finally, after days of feeling like she couldn't relax. She breathed in relief and felt safe, now she could just enjoy her day.
Yuffie kept looking back, looking like she was expecting someone to jump out and scare her. (Y/n) and Yuffie tried to ignore it, but it so happened that it almost stopped their conversations. But after a while of this happening, she finally spoke up.
"Okay," Yuffie finally cut in, her tone was suddenly serious. The cup she was holding hid her lips that no longer held a joyful smile that was just there a moment ago. "I don't want to alarm you, but someone has been looking at one of us since we've been here."
(Y/n) and Tifa instantly went to look around but Yuffie stopped them.
"Not all at once." She stated, "The person is behind me, outside the store."
"Outside?" Tifa asked, Yuffie nodded.
"Now, Tifa, you look first." Yuffie instructed, (Y/n) looked down and took a sip of her drink. Tifa nonchalantly looked around, a small gasp escaped her lips, she then instantly brought her cup to her lips.
"Scared me," She remarked, "I didn't expect him to actually be there looking straight at us.""(Y/n), you look now." Yuffie said, (Y/n) nodded. But once she checked there was no one near the window, just people going about their day.
"Uh," (Y/n) looked again, "There's no one there."
Forget about subtlety, Yuffie and Tifa both looked."You're right." Tifa breathed, finally relaxing. "He's gone."
"Weird, he must've just left." Yuffie said, shrugging. "Strange guy, he was watching us the whole time we were here."
"I wonder what he wants." (Y/n) questioned, feeling a little left out because she didn't witness the strange man.
