Christmas Special (2/3)
Trapped

Now this was a snow storm remember, why did she wander too far? She only managed to walk ten minutes back to her vehicle before it started to snow like crazy, which led to her getting lost and her only place to take refuge was a small abandoned cabin in the middle of the woods. Surprisingly it was just a empty cabin, the only thing in it was a dusty looking fireplace. So, knowing she had no other option, stay in the cabin, hoping the storm would stop soon. But, as she tried to relax, she heard the sound of a bike.

Yep, it wouldn't budge. Who knew that snow tires still sucked. Yazoo sighed, he opened his phone but saw that there was no signal. He looked around until he saw a small cabin, as annoyed as he was, it was better than freezing. So, he made his way towards it, and also realizing that leather and cold winds DID NOT mix.

(Y/n) gasped as she peaked through the small window and saw who was approaching, she panicked and tried to find another way out. Nope, absolutely nothing. She ducked behind the door and grabbed a piece of wood that was on the floor, she readied it like a baseball bat.

Footprints, he looked down and realized that someone else was inside, taking his gun out he opened the door slowly. At first he saw nothing as he made his way in, he closed the door. But then he felt something hard connect with his arm, he made a small groan as he turned to see who it was but before he could make out who the person tried to hit him again. He swung and shot but again the wood knocked his gun down, he looked up and instantly remembered who this was.

"Hey, I know you." He stated, making (Y/n) stop.
"I know you too." (Y/n) said, swinging the piece of wood again. "And I want no business with a remnant of Sephiroth!"
Yazoo blocked the wood but didn't shoot back.

"Stop, I'm not going to hurt you." Yazoo said, trying to get close to her.
"No!" (Y/n) yelled, "Get away!"
"I swear to- stop!" Yazoo said, watching her draw back so she could swing back but he used this opportunity to get close to her and grab her. She screamed out as he grabbed her shoulders and forced her to drop the wood.

"You're (Y/n), I presume?" Yazoo asked, too casually.
"The hell?" (Y/n) said, "What do you want?"
"Refuge from the storm." Yazoo simply stated, "I will not harm you, I have no interest in that at the moment."
"At the moment? What does that mean?" She asked, not at all pleased.
"It means I'm not going to hurt you." Yazoo said again, (Y/n) skeptically glared at him. "Don't look at me like that."
"Then, let me go." (Y/n) said,

"Will you hit me again?" He asked, (Y/n) shrugged.
"Are you going to kill me?"
"No." He stated,
"Then.." (Y/n) hesitated, "I won't hit you again."
"Okay," Yazoo said, "I'm going to let you go now."

(Y/n) nodded, once Yazoo took his arms off of her she instantly backed away. Trying to keep her distance, she leaned down and picked up the piece of wood. Yazoo instantly tended up, which she noticed.

"I'm going to keep this close, though." She said, "Sephiroth was not known to keep his promises."
"Well, I'm not Sephiroth." Yazoo said, (Y/n) instantly tilted her head in confusion.
"You're part of him." She stated, Yazoo shrugged.
"I guess, I am." He said, his tone was flat and there was some resistance in it.

He walked towards the fireplace and placed more wood into it, (Y/n) still kept her distance.

"Do you have a lighter?" He asked, (Y/n) checked her pockets, feeling her fingers glide against something. She pulled out the item and instantly tossed it at him, he caught it without even looking at her.

Just like that, he had gotten a fire started. He sat down in front of it, his features illuminated by the light of the fire. (Y/n) couldn't help but stare, despite the small differences, he seemed almost as beautiful as Sephiroth, almost flawless. But, at the same time, he looked different from Sephiroth.

"Come," Yazoo said, not even looking at her. "Get warm."
(Y/n) didn't move.

"I'm not going to bite." But then he smirked, (Y/n) hesitantly walked towards the edge of the light and sat down.
"What is a remnant of Sephiroth doing out here?" She asked, watching him shrug.
"Searching, then got stuck in the storm." Yazoo said, he then sighed. "I have a name, you know?"
"I know." (Y/n) said, "But, all of you look him Him, so I might as well call you what you are."

"A remnant of Sephiroth," Yazoo repeated with a slight chuckle. "Guess that's all we'll ever be known for."
(Y/n) didn't say anything, she just looked at him in her peripherals.

"You.." She swallowed, "Are much kinder then he was."
He looked at her, making her instantly turn away.
"Am I, now?" He sounded so amused, making her instantly backtrack.
"Or just as good as a manipulator as him." She said, Yazoo chuckled.
"I can agree to that. But, I assure you that I am not interested in killing you. You're not on the list of people we want to hurt."
"I'm not?" She asked, Yazoo shook his head.
"No, but when we leave this cabin, we're still enemies." He said, (Y/n) sighed.
"So, why not kill me now?"
"Because, I simply don't feel like it." He stated, nonchalantly.

"This is not what I imagined spending my Christmas." (Y/n) said, looking into the fire. Yazoo looked at her with confusion.
"Is that today?" He asked, (Y/n) nodded. "I have only heard rumours of what that holiday was, care to tell me what you had planned?"
"You care about that?" She asked, Yazoo shrugged.
"We're going to be trapped together for a while, we might as well talk about something." He said, (Y/n) sighed.
"Wow, spending Christmas with Sephiroth's personality, splendid." She said sarcastically, Yazoo huffed.

"I have a name."
"I know." (Y/n) said, but also looked away. "I don't know it, but I know you have one."
"Do you want to know? Or are you going to keep referring me to Sephiroth?" Yazoo asked, sounding not at all impressed.
"Does it matter?" (Y/n) asked, "You both have the same goal."
"Let's forget about that for today, it is your holiday, afterall." He said, (Y/n) couldn't help but let a small giggle escape from her mouth. Yazoo instantly looked at her, making her place her hand on her mouth.

"What's so funny?" He asked,
"Nothing." (Y/n) said, "It's just, I found the difference between you and Sephiroth. Sephiroth doesn't give a fuck about the holidays."
Yazoo chuckled,
"Then, have I made my point that I'm not him?"
"Kinda." (Y/n) smiled, "Also, he would've killed me by now."
"I rest my case."

"What is your name?" She asked, with a smile.
"Yazoo."
"Well, it's nice to meet you." She said,
"You too, (Y/n)." Yazoo said, extending his hand for her to shake. She hesitantly reached out and took it, shaking it back.

"Can I ask something, (Y/n)." Yazoo asked, pulling his hand back.
"What is that?"
"Why are you out here?"
(Y/n) instantly lowered her head, looking back at the fire.

"Uh," She nervously rubbed her hands together, "I was sent to try and find your hideout."
"Really?" Yazoo asked, a smile on his face.
"Why are you smiling like that?" (Y/n) asked, looking at him.
"Because, I was sent out to try and find you because you were looking for us." He chuckled, (Y/n) laughed.

"Get out of here, no, you weren't." She said, but Yazoo nodded.
"I was." He said, "I guess, I did my job."
"I did too." (Y/n) said, smiling.

"Then, I have a 'gift' idea." Yazoo said, making (Y/n) tilt her head.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Well, I won't tell my brothers that I found you, if you don't tell your friends where we are." He said, (Y/n) leaned back, thinking.
"Okay, deal." She nodded. "But, when we leave, we're not enemies, we have a secret alliance where I don't smack you with a piece of wood and you don't shoot me in the back."
"Alright," He chuckled, "Deal."

"Merry Christmas, Yazoo."
"Merry Christmas, (Y/n)."
