I happened to be sitting on a cliff with my back to everything else, and I could see the familiarity of this place... The oceans were grey... Our skies were grey, and the fog below was black as the void beyond our atmosphere...  I was in a memory of what my home planet looked like before everything fell into ruin

Momentarily everything looked the same until red-stained our silver skies, and raining showers of space rock began to rain in like hail... I couldn't move... All I could do was scream as my home was falling to flame... Nearing ever so closer to the soul-sucking black entity that started it all.

"Eve...wake up." Edward's voice was what filled my ears, and yet I could barely separate my eyelids from each other; it was a nightmare that was becoming increasingly hard to get from, but with effort, I managed to open my eyes.

Edward's face was pained and distraught; it was when I knew he caught a glimpse of my dream; whatever outcome of doom he felt coming, he didn't want me to relive it.

"How long was I out?" I turned to him, brushing my wild bed hair from my face. He reached to brush his fingers against my cheek and sighed. "Almost 24 hours"

His golden gaze was troubled, but he didn't dare ask what I was dreaming about. I stretched slowly, a growl of pleasure escaping me when my stretch reached its peak. When my joints gave a satisfying pop, I turned my attention to him, my brow raised.

"What did I miss while asleep?"  I laid on my side just as he made his way over to me, sitting down on the edge of the bed next to me. The open door to the balcony was open, which let in a breeze, his already wild hair becoming slightly more unkempt.

"Your brother, Bane, is still giving Bella a thorough talking to. Most of your family is at your home, but your siblings and your Akei are here communicating with the rest of my family." He uttered; his velvet voice seemed to be on edge. Something was bothering him; it worried me that he wouldn't tell me what was troubling him, but knowing him...

"Edward... Talk to me. What's bothering you?"

His eyes darkened as he looked away from me, a frown tugging at his lips. "How was your home destroyed? For whatever reason... When you sleep, I get sucked into your dreams. I could feel your pain... Your sorrow... The sadness, the fear! I saw what was sucking the life out of your home..." His eyes seemed to glitter when he looked back into my silver eyes. My face fell expressionless as I started back at him. "It wasn't just my home... Everything was swallowed whole by an enormous entity. To you, it may have looked like a black hole, but it was none other than the Void Serpent."

I could tell he was confused, but I could see the curiosity in his golden embers. "If you've heard of the Egyptian God Ra... Then you should know he was constantly fighting chaos. They said that the world would end if Apophis swallowed the sun. Think about that but on a universal scale. We were born to outlive the ones who couldn't leave their worlds behind." I looked at my trembling hands and let out a shaky breath, starting out the open balcony door.

"This Void Serpent... Does it have a name?" Edward asked, grabbing my hands in his cold alabaster grasp.

I never wanted to say his name, but I knew now I didn't have a choice. "K'lathka... Creator of Darkness...stealer of light. " I stood up from the bed and walked onto the balcony and let the breeze blow through my bed hair. I could feel him behind me without even having to look back.

"What is it you're not telling me, Nieve..." His voice was grave and cold, held an edge that he had never used on me before, but he knew I was hiding something from him.

" Whenever I know he's near... I have the same reoccurring nightmare, the one you just saw..." Tears flowed down my face, and my lips parted as a soft gasp passed through them.

"Nieve...---"

"Yes, whatever you're thinking... Whatever you're about to say... The answer is yes. The world is about to find out about the supernatural way sooner than anyone of us would like... But this was for told."

Edward went stiff as he heard the news... I could see it him his face; everything his family worked for to at least blend in with human society was about to be burnt to ash.

"I think it's time a meeting was called. If what your saying is true... The humans... They won't understand... We'll be purged..."

For the first time since I've seen his eyes turn glossy from his venom-like tears, I watched them fall and roll down his cheeks. The sight shocked me into silence as I couldn't say anything more. The world was already crazy because of the global pandemic, but now, planetary destruction was on the way, and I had no idea how to stop it.

" I won't let that happen... We've been here for a very long time... We've protected, we've loved... Gave birth too and died to call this planet our home. You'd be surprised just how many of us there are and how many of us will die just so this beautiful yet chaotic place and its people can live."
