Chapter 61. True love Part 3

I pulled Zachariel into my arms, then whispered in his ear, "I love you, babe." The wedding minister chuckled, then asked me, "Would you like to share your wedding vows with Mr. Malachi now, sir?" I grabbed Zachariel's face, then said to him while staring into his eyes, "Dear, Zachariel Malachi. I fell in love with you when we were eighteen. I vow to love only you for the rest of my life." Everyone started laughing when they heard Olivia say, "I can't believe that you met this hunk when you were eighteen and let him slip through your fingers, Zach." Olivia waved shyly at us, then added, "Sorry, guys." The wedding minister frowned at Olivia, then said, "It's time to exchange the wedding rings, guys." Leonardo handed Zachariel a velvet box, then uttered, "Here you go, Patrizio." Zachariel thanked him, then opened the box. I smiled when I saw the custom-made wedding rings. Zachariel handed me his ring then stated, "It will go well with our engagement rings, Alexei." I nodded while examining the ring. I realized how right Zachariel was when he slid the ring down my finger. The engagement and the wedding ring looked like a set together.

Zachariel grinned when I slid the wedding ring down his finger. He cupped my face and kissed me intensely when the wedding minister declared, "Now I pronounce you husbands." Everyone cheered us on. Flower petals instantly started raining down from the sky. The kids ran to us to congratulate us. We picked up the kids, then walked down the aisle with them. It was time for family photos. Adriana led us to a spot, then gave the wedding photographer some instructions. Everyone followed us to the reception venue when the photo session was over. People gasped when they saw the beautifully decorated tables and seats. Every table had its server. The guests just had to sit back and enjoy the party. People came by to congratulate us after a while. Zachariel and I had a little chat with everyone. Cora, Chance, Briac, and the others made sure that everyone was content. We had lunch with the whole family. A band was taking requests from the guests. The children squealed when they heard the lead singer say, "We just received a request from little Michael here, people. He wants us to sing the Hokey pokey song for him. Join us, little ones." 

Zachariel stood up, then uttered, "Come one, kiddos. Let's show everyone our moves." The kids ran after Zachariel. Vittoria, Olivia, Cora, Alyssa, and Kaylee followed them. Paul put Anthony on my lap, then yelled while running towards the crowd, "I'll be right back, Alexei." Triton and his men had arrived at the party, so I went to greet them. Triton smiled while looking at Zachariel and the kids, then stated, "I'm glad that you found what you had been looking for, sir." I gazed at the dance floor, then responded to Triton with, "Thank you for your hard work, Triton. I wouldn't have accomplished this without your support." Triton raised his glass, then said, "You are welcome, sir."

The kids and Zachariel went back to eating after they returned. I kissed Zachariel's cheek, then asked him, "Are you having a good time, my dear husband?" Zachariel kissed me softly, then said, "Yes, babe. Things turned out better than I expected. Brace yourself. The activities are about to start." I looked puzzled at Zachariel. Zachariel smiled at me, then pointed at the dance floor. I frowned when I saw Olivia drag Charles to the dance floor. Everyone cheered Charles on when they heard that he was a cop. Olivia invited us to the dance floor to have our first dance as a married couple. Zachariel grabbed my hand, then dragged me to the dance floor. I chuckled when the band started playing the song, "We found love in a hopeless place by Rihanna." People gave us a standing ovation after our dance was over. Olivia and Charles took the floor once again, then explained to the guests which games they were about to play. They were looking for couples who were willing to participate in their activities. Many guests offered to help. I groaned when Zachariel yelled, "I want to participate as well!" Zachariel scowled at Charles when he shouted, "Save your energy for tonight, Zach!"

I pulled Zachariel closer to me, then uttered, "He is not wrong, Zachariel." Zachariel gave me a little nudge, then stated, "The kids can hear you, Alexei." The kids were too engrossed in the activities to hear anything. I laughed when Olivia made one of my uncles confess his love for his wife. Even the teens enjoyed the activities. Everyone started dancing after the games were over. Our parents were having a good time by the bar. Zachariel placed his head on my shoulder, then said, "I'm the happiest man in the world, Alexei. I had never thought that I would get everything that I wanted in life. I hope that no one ruins our happy life." I didn't even realize that Zachariel had been crying. I hugged Zachariel, then said, "It's okay, Zachariel. We are one now. No one can destroy our sacred bond."
