Royal Rebel 2 ~ Revali X Reader

You walked down the steps and into the colorfully lit room, noticing a lot of rito couples already down there and dancing and eating. You looked around for your own partner, before feeling your arm getting lifted up and you were spun around once.

You smiled when you stopped, now met with the sight of Revali. He kneeled down and gently pecked your hand. You reached out to pet his cheek, and he nuzzled his beak into your loving touch.

"May I have this dance?" He asked, looking up at you as his feathers were starting to turn pink. You nodded, and he spun you out towards the center of the room, leaping over to stand with you as he took both of your hands into his wings and started to lead you across the carpeted floor. "I must say, you are quite the dancer."

"I may have been to a ball or two in my life." You chuckled, starting to take over the lead a little bit. He let you, and eventually he spun you away from him, and you used that opportunity to get a drink. "Need anything while I'm over here?"

"I could use a little bowl of chips." He said, and you nodded and got the food while he stayed in his spot and danced to the music on his own terms. "Thank you!" He smiled as you handed him his chips, and he dug in right away. You stood by his side and sipped at your juice, stealing a chip from him every now and then. "If you wanted chips so badly, why didn't you get a bigger bowl?"

"Well I didn't know I was gonna want any." You shrugged, taking the last chip. Revali sighed with a small smile and flew over you to get more chips. While you waited for him to get back, you occupied yourself with fluffing out your dress feathers.

As you were doing this, you were very happy to discover that this dress had hidden pockets. But then you felt something in one of those pockets. You pulled a tiny golden key out of one of them, and examined it. Wondering what is was for and why it was in your dress.

You looked around you and saw Eagle dancing with Abby, and you saw Parro with a rito girl- one you recognized to be Bella. And then there was Orville, drinking whatever was in his cup while he stayed by the food tables on that side of the room.

He noticed you and waved, and you smiled and put the key back in your pocket. You walked over to him and stood at the table by him, and he raised an eyebrow and took another gulp of his drink.

"What are you doing over here, _____? I thought you were dancing with your boyfriend." He joked, setting his cup down beside him as he leaned against the table.

"Revali went to get some chips, and I noticed you were lonely over here." You shrugged, grabbing a brownie and taking a large bite of it. "You didn't bring a date?"

"I asked a girl, but she had... better things to do." He sighed, and your smile dropped. "It's no big deal, though." You knew it wasn't true. It did seem like a big deal to him.

"_____!!!!" You could hear Revali call from among the crowd, and you and Orville both glanced over. Some of the rito girls were dancing around with him, all while he was trying to protect his precious bowl of chips. You both laughed, and you managed to dance your way back to him.

You grabbed his wing and pulled him away from the group of girls, snatching a chip as you did this. He smiled and spun you around, leaving you giggling.

"Excuse me, _____?" You turned to see a blue-feathered rito girl behind you, and she glanced over at Orville. "Would you happen to know if that gentleman over there is with anyone?"

"I don't believe he is." You said, watching Orville tilt his head and give you signals. "Why?" You smiled and raised an eyebrow, and the girl went red.

"N-No reason. Thank you." She hurried off over to Orville, and you saw them make some small talk before her eyes lit up and she happily led him into the crowd of dancing people. He smiled at you and Revali as she did this just before they got lost in the flood of ritos and hylians.

"Finally, this guy pulls a woman." Revali laughed, and you tugged his shirt a bit. "I'm glad. I hope that girl that asked him regrets not showing up." He placed the bowl of chips in your hands before lifting you up and swirling around a few times.

"Revali!" He set you down and pecked your cheek gently before taking the bowl back, setting it by a table and then going back to really dance with you. "Hey love," You started, reaching into the pocket. "Do you know what this is?"

"Hm?" He took the key and looked at it for a few seconds before smiling. "Yes! Actually, this key is to a box that I made for us years ago. I put it in that dress to keep it safe. I must've forgotten I put it there."

"How long have you had this dress around?" You asked, trying your best to keep up with him steps.

"I had it made for you just after giving you the crown. I was waiting for the right festivale to invite you to, and I figured with this one being just after our wedding, it was perfect." You giggled and blushed, pressing your nose to the tip of his beak after kissing it. "We'll have to open the box when we get back to our room." You nodded and hummed, and for the rest of the night, you danced around with your rito.
