“Captain Adrian.” You saw the man at the gate and showed him the crown in your bag. He smiled somewhat deviously and let you in. You walked into the throne room, seeing Captain Barry sitting in Rhoam’s throne.

“Milady! Please go upstairs! His highness is upstairs waiting in his room.” You nodded and walked upstairs to Rhoam’s room, and when you opened the door, you saw him sitting on his bed, completely zoned out.

“Rhoam?” He snapped out of his daze and looked up at you, and quickly stood up. “You needed me?”

“Yes, I did.” He led you out of the room and down the hall to one of conference rooms. “Have a seat.” You sat down as he closed the door, and then he sat down across from you. “So, _____, I’ve been meaning to speak to you about this.”

“Yeah, well make it fast. Revali and I have a competition tonight.” You folded your arms and leaned back in your chair, and Rhoam released a deep sigh and put his hands together and rested them on the table.

“You remember how we had that coronation before your wedding?” He asked, and you nodded. “Well, when you ran away, you may not know this but you remained queen. When I went to set up the big ball for the kingdom, I was informed by the head of the Royal Administration that I am no longer king. So those decisions are no longer in my power, rather they’re in yours.”

“That’s it?” You scoffed, and he raised his eyebrow. “I’ll go sign the paper for your little ball then, Rhoam. It’s no big deal.”

“_____,” He snapped, rising from his chair. “This is a big deal. You’re still the queen of Hyrule and you’re just okay with this? This is no laughing matter!”

“BWHAGAaha! This is your fault, you know. I never wanted to become queen and I never wanted to marry Nolan. I’m enjoying my life with Revali right now, and I don’t have time for all of these problems!” You slammed your palms down onto the smooth wood, and he got up completely and started pacing around.

“You can’t take anything seriously, can you? This affects you, _____! You are in a ton of trouble, young lady!” You froze in your spot, watching his eyes widen as you didn’t say anything. Goddess, you hadn’t been called that since…

"You are in trouble, young lady!” Your father said as you dropped your sword. “I told you no training before breakfast!”

“_____! You said you wouldn’t eat all the cookies young lady!” You giggled as Amirah chased you down the hall with a small smile painted on her lips.

“Rhoam,” You started, standing up. “May I remind you of how old I am?” He looked confused so you decided to be so kind as to help him. “I’m twenty-four. And I’m not your sister, or your daughter, so you don’t get to ‘young lady’ me.” You grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and started writing. “Dear Royal Administration, I am handing the throne back to my dearest brother-in-law so he can make all the decisions his little heart desires and so I can go back home so I can be in time for my competition. Signed and officiated by your current but hopefully temporary queen, _____.” You handed him the paper and started to leave.

“_____! This isn’t telling them anything!” He grabbed your arm and you swatted his away, turning back around to face him. “They probably already have the judge ready and everything now, and-“

“Judge? What judge?” You asked, and he huffed and sat back down in his seat.

“The judge for your trial!” You gasped, and he handed you a different paper that had the details of the trial on it. “You ran away while holding the crown, and that is not only breaking a major law, but a great offense to the entire kingdom!”

“I didn’t know that!” You gasped, and he snickered and got up and walked to the door.

“Well, the more you know, then! Take this as a lesson well learned!” He grabbed your wrist and led you down the hall to your room and had you go inside. “Get dressed and ready now. I don’t know what time they’re going to call us.” He closed your door, and you tried to get out but he opened it again and stopped you. “If you try and leave, know that it will only lead to more problems. Just stay here and I promise I’ll get us out of this mess.” He shut your door once again, and after all this time, you decided the best thing to do was to face the truth and get it over with so you could live your life in peace.

After getting dressed, you figured you had enough time to go see Zelda. So, you snuck into the hall and went to Zelda’s room, only to open the door and see two young women doing some cleaning.

“Is Princess Zelda here?” You asked, looking over everything from the bed to the walls and carpets; remembering the days when all that the room contained was a crib when Amirah first found out.

“I’m sorry, m’lady, she’s out at the Spring of Power with Chief Urbosa right now. We aren’t sure of when the pair will return.” They continued their cleaning, and you left and closed the door behind you. You then looked down the halls, seeing at window at the end of one side and a large family picture at the end of the other.

As you got closer, you came to realize it had been that same one you specifically had to ask the guards not to take down after Amirah’s funeral. You gently ran your fingers down the golden rim, admiring how nice the frame had stayed after all these years. Decades, almost.

“Lady _____.” You turned around to see Captain Barry standing behind you, and he seemed nervous. Apparently everyone was even to scared to use your usual titles on you and Rhoam, not sure of what was really true and what wasn't. "Your presence is required downstairs. I shall escort you."
