The Unforgettable

                           (Year-2007)

Hey guys just a quick reminder this Chapter is taking place in 2007... 2 years after the kidnapping of Damien's younger brother Darren.

( Narrator's POV on Linda )

In the summer of 2007, Linda had arrived in this beautiful but warm city of Glendale, Arizona. Being a person that loved very warm summers, Glendale had being an idyllic place for Linda to settle down. When Linda first moved here she rented out an apartment.

It wasn't to long before she managed to buy a nice sized property in a very busy area...
Only a few months later after buying all the equipment that was needed, Li's Coffee Cup was up and running again.

In the apartment building where Linda lived in, there was a friendly older women Mrs Rita Singh who lived alone. She had being a widow for the past eight years, she had four children living nearby. Linda had taken a great liking towards this woman who had been in her early 60's.

It wasn't to long before Linda found out about Mrs Singh's talent of Cooking and Baking. She had had being an expert in preparing many mouth-watering Asian delights. Soon after finding out about her talent, Linda got Mrs Singh to come work with her in the Coffee Shop.

These two women Linda and Aunty Rita ( Mrs Singh's) worked side by side to build the shop to what it is today. Months after working together these two women grew very close to each other and it wasn't to long before Rita had taken a great liking towards Andy, Linda's young son. Two of Rita's children were married and the older woman had three granddaughter's.

So being super close to Andy, Rita had taken a him as a grandson that she never had and to this, Linda was grateful. There was absolutely nothing wrong with a child receiving more love in this cold, cruel world that Linda often found herself in growing up.

Linda often remembered her lonely life growing up with just her and her mom. She felt lonely for most part of her life and there was so many times she would hear how her friends from school would talk about what fun things they did with their families and friends especially during the Holidays. Even in the small apartment Linda grew up in, she would often hear her neighbors having fun and interacting with their families and friends.

Even as small as Linda was, she'd realized they didn't have much to be happy about. She still remembered how many times her pillow would be wet from crying herself to sleep wondering if her life will ever change.

As she gotten bigger to her teenage years she worked with her mom at Mr Randall's Diner, Linda used to work at the Diner after school. It wasn't to long after when Mr Randall saw how dedicated and hardworking Linda was, trying to make make a better life for her and her mom.

He was such a kind old man to her, one who would encourage her to do something good for her and her mom. He would encourage her to do something good with her life. Days when she'd feel like a 'nothing' Mr Randall was there to pick her up emotionally. He believed in her, he was  always telling how her life will change for the better.

Sadly only a few years after Linda opened up her shop back in Moreno Valley, old Mr Randall had passed away. She remembered him telling her ( Linda ) how she reminded him of his daughter that was away taken from him by a jealous boyfriend. She was eternally grateful for Mr Randall  since he was always there for her. Strangely though his death hit her harder than that of her own mom's.

Mr Randall was absolutely proud of her when she opened Li's Coffee Cup and in some strange way over the years they became like a father and a daughter, which proves one doesn't need to be biologically related to be family.
