That's it. That's all I have. For today, at least (I lied, there's more).

Oh, and I've been continuing to read the Maximum Ride manga, so there's that too. I think I only have two volumes left.

Lastly, I went outside tonight to grab something from my dad's car, when I smelled something in the air. It smelled like another cat, and it was scared, but it wasn't the white one I've been visiting (who luckily returned back. She's a girl though, so I worry about her getting pregnant, since she's being out in the wild like this).

Sure enough, there was a lady all on her own with a flashlight in the dark, looking for a "black cat that went missing about fifteen minutes ago".

I could tell that cat didn't want me to disclose their location under my dad's car, so I told her I hadn't. She went off down the road, and the cat seemed to calm down. I also feel like I've recognized that lady before, and I hope she isn't abusing that cat in any way.

If she is, I should probably start making a home for both the white she-cat and them.

10/16/2021:

I realized that I haven't even named the cats I've met. Of course, the black cat probably already has a name, but as far as I'm concerned, the white one doesn't.

So I named her Mimi. Why? I don't know. It just... felt right. I also finally got to making a more comfortable home for Mimi: I cut up one of my really old blankets. Then, I stole a big cardboard box my mom wanted to send out to recycling, and lined it with the blanket bits.

Lastly, I snuck it out the back door and took it to her. If I turn the box on its side, it fends her from the rain.

I can only hope that the black cat joins her and keeps safe.

I've been working quite late tonight for the MPA. It's exhausted me, but something kept my awake and vitalized the dark room which I work in.

The moonlight. It filtered through the open window, and shined brightly in the night. It's presence was almost calming, alluring even. I tried to take a picture, but the window screen kept blocking the view and making the moon look like a light bulb.

In theory, I guess that is kind of what the moon is. A light bulb for the night sky.

Today was the first time I saw any sign of AWTOK in a long while. Or at least, an incredibly obvious sign. And maybe it was some other Mythical hunting organization.

Either way, it was definitely something negative.

The entire bus ride home from school, a white van followed us. It eventually "parked" at a house next door, but I literally never see a white van in the driveway of our neighbor. It was also logoless, and had dark, shaded windows.

(There was an image here, but it didn't transfer over properly when compressing multiple entries into one chapter).

It looks less like a van and more like a camper, but I'm kind of concerned. They didn't leave until the owners of the house (this old couple) told them to get out if they had no business.

I rarely see that couple, but they're so nice. I kind of wish I interacted with them more.

10/19/2021:

School has been keeping me busy. Almost TOO busy.

It's a lot more than normal, at least. My boss even told me I could lower my work hours (in which I gladly took the offer). In the hours I'm absent, I'll probably have one of my co-workers act as head of the Security Devision.

Also, the black cat made their way to where Mimi was, it seems. Maybe they caught a drift of my scent and followed it? Either way, they're there now. However, there is one slight problem I'm worried about.

The black cat is a male.

I have already been taking care of one stray cat (which will now be two), and if by any means they decide to get it on, I don't want to be taking care of several more kittens. The black cat is definitely not neutered, and who knows if Mimi was ever spayed. Plus, I don't have the expenses to get either of them neutralized.

On top of all of this, I have school. Great.

10/20/2021:

Okay, school isn't as bad now. But it's still bad. It's just improving. Very slowly.

I want to touch on last night -- it was the full moon, after all. It's bright, calming light shone through my window. In fact, I got the best night of sleep I've had in a long while, so I imagine it's from that gentle, caressing light. The disadvantage was that I was staring at the moon with wide saucer eyes for what felt like hours. Oh well.

I find it amazing that no matter where we are in the world, we all are under the same moon.

However, the full moon also has side effects, such as my random, almost uncontrollable mews being more frequent. I started randomly mewling in chorus class (which was probably the best class for that to happen in), and I definitely got a few weird stares.

But me being "part cat" is my chorus teacher's inside joke, so he took it as me being a jokester. The irony in that statement was very much present. I almost laughed aloud, but at least my mews stopped.

I hope I don't do involuntary "moon watching" again tonight.

I heard rumors almost suddenly appearing today. They were about the man who broke into the school some time ago, looking for a "cat". You know, the one that was probably apart of the MHO?

The rumor goes that he's going to break in again, with a few of his friends. I presume these "friends" are other members of the MHO. Kids say he's going to break in next Wednesday, and police are already on high alert.

I need to be more cautious.
