One Yaksha remains enduring never ending pain and suffering. But, will he meet the one to help his pain..?

Or will he leave him like everyone else..?

It was a good day, surprisingly, as the twin's sister went missing. Aether took a walk around Liyue with Paimon. They were currently walking on the path at Wangshu Inn.

"Paimon is hungryyyyy ~"
"Maybe we can-"

BAM!
"AHHH!!!"

Aether quickly turned his head to make sure everything was okay. He ran up the stairs in a hurry, to see that a waitress had spilled hot soup everywhere. It burned the customer all over his torso.

"Oh god!" The waitress said. "I-I'm so sorry- let me clean it up!!"

"Sir, are you okay?" Aether asked in a worried voice. "GET HIM SOME ICE!!" Aether shouted.

Xiao POV
"Tsk, who is disturbing me?" Xiao scoffed as he got up.

He had just returned from murdering some monsters, and of course he wasn't exhausted, just annoyed.

He looked down off the large balcony and saw a man with a blond braid helping a wounded man.

Xiao couldn't see, as Aether was kneeling and turned around. He watched Aether as he hurriedly went to get herbs to help the man.

"Humans." Xiao said as he walked back inside. "Can't even survive a burn."

Aether POV
As Aether was helping the man, he felt a peculiar aura. He felt weird. He looked around and his eyes landed on the balcony, where Xiao had left a black smoke. He stared at the balcony, wondering what it was.

"TRAVELER!" Paimon yelled as she put her hands on her hips, her eyebrows furrowed. "What are you staring at?? FOCUS!"

Aether snapped back to reality trying to focus on the man. Although, he often caught himself staring at the balcony every once in awhile.

It was just something about it...

After the man was sorted out, he couldn't stop thinking about the black smoke. He somehow felt drawn to it. Aether couldn't explain why, it was just weird..

What if Boss Lady is in trouble? That black smoke didn't seem anything close to normal. Aether thought. His curiosity caught up with him and he went upstairs to ask Verr Goldet.

"Hey, Boss Lady~"

"It's just Verr, please." She said as she interrupted Aether. "Ah, sorry, Verr. "It's perfectly alright. What did you come to ask?" She asked with a smile.

"About 20 minutes ago, I was tending to a man's soup burns. But, I felt this strange feeling and looked around. My eyes traced to the balcony and I saw a puff of smoke. It was weird, and I wanted to let you know." Aether explained.

"Oh, that? Yes, that's just our guest." Verr replied. Aether was compelled to ask more for some odd reason. "D-Do you think you could tell me their name?" Aether asked innocently and smiled.

"I don't think he'd appreciate it.." Verr said nervous. "Just a little peek?" Aether asked trying to convince her. "Urgh, fine. His name is Xiao and often rests here. That is all I can say as he probably wouldn't even let me tell you his name."

Xiao....now where have I heard this before..? Aether thought to himself

Is it possible to have writers block in the first chapter? lmao

Anyways, the chapters will hopefully get longer, I have to plan this out and my brain isn't really into generating ideas nor absorbing information atm.
(ask my math teacher lol)

and please please don't ask for updates because hopefully i can release a chapter every week, no promises though.
