I Don't Give A Damn | Squid game x Reader

When in the game hall, the PA system came back on telling the players that there will be a teaming up of groups of two for the next game. And that once a mutual decision is made, then they will shake each other's hands to confirm the partnership. Every player looked at one another now trying to decide who they were going to team up with. However, Mi-nyeo was already desperately trying to team up with anyone that she could. She first attempted to team up with Gi-hun which didn't work. In an effort, she tried to convince Sang-woo by saying she'll be his dream girl causing (Y/N) to cringe a little.

"You're pretending that you do not want me on your team. Is that it?" Mi-nyeo said, trying to convince herself. "Why? Can't decide? Want me to choose instead, huh?"

"Old lady, please shut up. You're just humiliating yourself at this point." (Y/N) told her.

"Also no one will want to play with you like this." Sae-byeok said. "And you should all be honest. You don't want a girl to team up with or an old guy." She made it known.

    Hearing that statement, got (Y/N) jolted up now, understanding even more why they didn't want to team up with Mi-nyeo. Sure Mi-nyeo was slightly crazy at times but none of the men wanted a female teammate when they had barely survived Tug-of-war.

"Of course we don't. We COULD die. We almost die in the previous round." player 196 tersely reminded them.

    The priest even agreed with player 196 where he then further insulted female abilities. Which triggered  (Y/N) to stand up and walk away from the group. She had enough dealing with player 196 shit. Gi-Hun tried calling her back, yet (Y/N) ignored him when looking around the other players. Most of the players seem to have decided who was going to be their teammates while some had a difficult decision to make.
(Y/N) spotted Wang alone and thought maybe he would accept being her partner for the next game. So she went his way.

"Hey Wang!" (Y/N) happily said.

Wang turned around to see (Y/N). "Hello (Y/N)."

"Do you have a partner yet?" (Y/N) asked him.

    Wang didn't answer right away, he heard the hesitation in her voice, that was clear she was afraid he'd said yes. He knew male players were avoiding female players as much as possible since it was safer than sorry. Many people had come up to Wang first, due to the fact he was a young male who seemed to have the strength to accomplish a difficult task. Despite several people requesting him to be their partner, he told all of them no because he knew (Y/N) wouldn't have a comrade. Especially when they were now uneven players, meaning that one person will most likely be eliminated. And Wang didn't want (Y/N) to be the one eliminated knowing it would weigh over his heavy conscience, that he let one of his students die for his selfish self.

"No, I don't. How about we'd be partners? If you haven't teamed up yet?" Wang said.

(Y/N) smiled. "You sure? Many of the guys-" Wang interrupted her. "I'm sure. Many of those dick-heads are that are just afraid of the woman here." He said certainly.

(Y/N) became stunned as she tilted her head sideways. "That's the first time I ever heard you say dick-head."

"You are aware that I'm normal being like you?" He said.

"I know but it's still shocking to hear you say that."

"Let's just shake hands."

    And with that, they both shook their hands confirming that they were partners.

"The time of finding a partner is now over." The PA system notifies the players.

    The door opened that lead into the game, letting the players know where to go next. Before they all exited out of the game hall, Mi-nyeo started begging all the players to change their minds to become partners with her. Fortunately for her, none of them budged. The players continued on heading inside the next area where it looked like they were in a small little town. The staff took (Y/N) and Wang to the designated spots where they will be playing the fourth game at.
