Chapter 6 | It's okay

Start from the beginning

"Do you have a clue what the next game is?" (Y/N) asked Wang.

Wang shook his head. "None. This place doesn't remind me of any childish games."

Their staff suddenly stopped and turned around facing (Y/N) and Wang handing them both bags of marbles.

"In this game, using your set of ten marbles, you will play the game of your choice with your partner. The player who manages to take all ten marbles from their partners wins."

(Y/N) heart dropped as she slowly looked at Wang to receive a look of a broken soul. The two of them knew that one of them had endorsed their own execution although, who would it be? The PA system repeated what they had stated then told the players they will have thirty minutes for them to play the game of their choosing. For a couple of seconds, neither of them talked.

"We don't have to play right away. We could start playing during the last few minutes." Wang suggested.

"So do we just talk during then?" (Y/N) said.

"Pretty much. It's better than staring at the timer all day."

"Okay then." (Y/N) took a deep breath. "Did you grade my assignment?"

Wang faintly laughed."I did actually." He replied. "You got a pretty good grade."

"Well... I did try my best." (Y/N) said.

"I know. You always do."

Wang knew (Y/N) did above from her best. Her assignment was always on the spot. Each equation was regularly flawless at the point where Wang sometimes questioned if he should even check her work. He was aware that assigning (Y/N) a ton of work was overwhelming for her but he just wanted to prepare her once she got into a university.  The reason was, he saw (Y/N) having the potential to become successful. Sadly (Y/N) didn't see it that way at first.

(Y/N) had settled down on the sand. "Why was I given more work than your other students?" She questioned.

"To prepare you for university." Wang answered.

"Why not prepare for the other students?"

"Simple. You were only willing to do extra assignments even when you knew you didn't have to."

Wang was right about that statement. Most of his students wouldn't dare touch an extra assignment if it wasn't required for them to do so. Even the second 'outstanding' student didn't bother to do the additional work. (Y/N) always did the extra assignments to make sure her grades were always an A. But she never thought that all the assignments she got day after day were preparation for university. (Y/N) always believed that Wang just wanted her to crumble her diligence down, thankfully she was incorrect in that assumption.

"My turn to ask some questions. Why did you come back here?" Wang looked straight at (Y/N). "The actual reason."

"Money. I need to pay for my grandfather's treatment. And my debt situation."

Wang took a seat down right near (Y/N). "I see. If you win the games, I'm assuming you'll pay for your  grandfather's treatment and pay all of your debt?"

"Definitely." (Y/N) unquestionably responded. "What about you? What would you do if you won with all that money?"

"I'd Also pay my debt. And after that.....I'm not sure."

"You could retire being a teacher if you wanted." (Y/N) implied.

"I could. The question is what will I do with that much money if I retire?"
