Move On

Janie slowly started to wake but tried to go back to sleep when she felt Raven start to move then heard him growl, "Quiet, you wake Kitten I hurt you. She sleep."

"Sorry Raven," Kota whispered, "The vet called and said that Hades is refusing to eat even with his bowl and food. They wanted to know if she would come and get him to eat."

"Fine," Raven shifted a little bit, "I wake but she nap later."

"Understood," Kota left the room to go finish making breakfast.

Raven started rubbing circles on her stomach and whispered in her ear, "Wake Kitten."

She shifted a little then froze when she felt something pressing against her back. "Raven?" She asked groggily as she yawned and stretched.

He chuckled as he pulled her shirt down as it raised a little bit. "Morning Kitten," he looked up at her as she sat up. "Vet call Killer no eat."

"Okay," She yawned and rubbed her eyes. "Thank you for last night."

"Of course Sweetheart," Corey said sitting up and scratched his chest. "Now let's go get ready so we can go see Hades."

"You want to go with me?" She asked shocked. "Don't you have work?"

"Go in after," Raven said getting out of bed then held his hand out for her to take.

"I can go on my own," she shook her head and they started heading to the dining room. "I don't want you to get in trouble for being late at work."

"All of us own our own businesses Beautiful," Marc said as he held up the coffee pot. "Do you want some coffee before you go see Hades?"

"You own your own businesses?" She asked shocked and they nodded. "Wow," she yawned again. "I'm sorry. Storms really take it out of me. I'll just grab a caramel iced coffee on my way to the vet." She headed up to the guest room and got dressed. As she came down the stairs Marc handed her a tumbler. She looked at him curiously but took a drink and beamed. "This is wonderful! It's so much better than the coffee shop's caramel iced coffee. What brand is it?"

"My own," Marc beamed.

"Your own?" She asked intrigued.

"Yes, I have my own coffee company," he nodded.

"You just got a new customer," She smiled as she took another drink. "This is my new favorite. Where is your store so I can make sure to come in at least twice a day."

"I'll have some ready for you every morning no charge," He smiled. "You can be one of my testers like the rest of the guys."

"Thank you," she hugged him then grabbed her cellphone as it was ringing. "Hello? Oh he's so stubborn, I'm on my way." She waved and rushed out the door. She started to head over to her yard but stopped when someone grabbed her arm. She turned to see Raven and Corey. Raven pointed to his car and she shook her head. He took her keys and placed his hand on the lower of her back then gently applied pressure so she took a step. "He even spit out his medicine? Oh yeah, he's weird and doesn't like peanut butter. Oh, great you were able to put it in his IV. Ok, I will be there shortly. Thank you." She hung up her phone and sighed, "I can go on my own, I don't want to take you away from your businesses."

"It's fine Sweetheart," Corey said. "We can go in at anytime, we do most of our work on our laptops at home anyway. You aren't taking us away from anything, I promise."

"Fine but if something comes up and you need to leave, then promise me you will," she gave in. "I would feel so bad if I found out you put me and Hades before work."

"Promise," Raven nodded as he opened the passenger door for her.

They spent the morning at the vet and she was happy to see that Hades was now able to stand and take a few steps with her, which made her morning. Corey took a few pictures and sent them to her phone so she could send them to Michael, Stephen, David, and William.

She called Kota as they left the vet once Hades was sleeping again, "Are you busy Kota?" She asked nervously. She didn't want to bother him if he was.

"No, I was just shutting everything down so I could leave for lunch," he told her honestly. "How is Hades today? Still being stubborn?"

"Yes," She smiled softly. "But that's just Hades, he's stubborn by nature. He took a few steps today."

"That's great," He smiled. "Are you guys heading to get some lunch now?"

"Let me ask," she said and they nodded. "They said yes."

"Great, we can meet up," Kota smiled as he headed to his car. "North will probably join us, I know he wasn't too happy you skipped out on breakfast this morning."

"Oh I hardly ever eat breakfast, I just didn't notice," She said honestly and Kota chuckled.

"North just heard that and he's not happy," Kota laughed. "He's talking about coming over every morning and making you breakfast to make sure you don't skip it anymore. He's kind of a health nut."

"Oh he doesn't have to do that," She shook her head which caused Raven and Corey to laugh, "It's too much of a hindrance."

"No it's not," she heard North say in the background. "I usually make everyone breakfast anyway."

"Pick your battles wisely Sweetheart," Corey hinted and she sighed in defeat.

"So what business do you have Kota?" She asked trying to change the subject.
