Hello everyone! I know it's been a minute since I've last posted anything on this site, but I figured I'd write to both my dear readers and to my former self.
I began this story in 2018. It is hard to believe how many years have passed, and where I am now. When I started writing this story, I was in middle school and was going through a rough patch in my life. I will openly admit to being ashamed for putting some of the content included into this story. I truly do hold this story close, not because of the fandom itself but rather because it allowed me to have an outlet to express myself and my creativity when I needed it most.
Some days I consider completely archiving it, but I decide to leave it up because it's somewhat of a funny memory to look back on.
But I'm going to restate again, a lot of the themes in this story I feel were quite inappropriate, especially considering 抖阴社区's target audience. It was a way of venting for me, but I feel now looking back that it was wrong to put such sensitive themes out onto a platform anyone can access. I've been considering rewriting or blatantly taking the section of the story involving the shooting out, simply because it's unnerving for me to leave up. It can be taken the wrong way, and although I meant no harm during the writing process and just hoped it would be something for the purpose of furthering the plot, I recognize that was a terrible writing choice on my part.
I hope those certain scenes can be forgiven and that it also serves as a reminder we all choose to handle trauma/mental health in our own ways, sometimes obvious, sometimes more discreet. I'm in such a better place now and am a lot more happy as an individual with healthy ways of navigating through issues.
Despite it all, I've got such an appreciation for all the support that went into the story and am still amazed to find people reading it today. Part of me is like.... "Oh god look away a seventh grader wrote this...." But it's still something people find worth picking up and devoting time to read, for whatever reason. So yeah, thank you for the continuous support.
