March 3 Wednesday Year 1
I didn't have the courage to say hi to Taehyung yesterday.
There's too big of a gap between us.
I'm only on level 1 while he's already level 100.
Today, I sat next to a girl in my English class. She smiled my way before taking a seat. I should've said something then, but my heart was beating so hard against my chest that I ended up with a dry mouth.
So I stepped out during break, running off to grab a drink from the vending machine. Maybe if I bring her one too, I can say something? If I just kindly offer her one, then maybe it'll be easier.
Stepping up to the machine, I insert the money before settling on my favorite —strawberry sparkling water.
One tumbles down, but then...
"Hm?" I try to press the button again, only for nothing to follow. Curious, I press all the other buttons.
Empty.
Noooo.
Disappointed, I crouch down and take out my one can.
I can't just offer her one without having one. Won't she find it strange?
I try not to be too upset. At least, I can enjoy this drink and get motivated again. I'll be good as new!
Standing up, I'm surprised by Taehyung who steps up to the vending machine, eyes busy scanning all the options.
Quickly, I drop my gaze to the ground and turn toward class.
Oh, but the machine-
Looking over my shoulder, I see him press the same button a couple of times before he squats down and checks the flap for his drink.
I hug the drink close to my racing heart.
I just have to say two words: it's empty.
Yet, I can't.
Looking at the drink in my hand, I quickly set it down next to him before heading back to class.
