I Was Wrong: Bakugou X Reader

Bakugou Pov:

Y/N was focused on the show, so I quietly snuck off of the couch.

I slipped out of the living room and raided the pantry. I found a bag of microwaveable popcorn and stuck it in the microwave.

I searched the cabinets for bowls as it started to pop.

"What are you doing, Bakugou?"

"What do you think I'm doing?! I'm making popcorn, you idiot!"

Y/N was quiet as I poured the popcorn into the bowls. I went to the living room and sat beside Y/N. I slipped under the blanket and made myself comfortable.

I handed her the popcorn and she smiled brightly.

"Thanks, Bakugou!"

The episode ended and I grabbed the remote. I turned on an action movie, but then Y/N yanked the blanket off of my lap.

"What was that for?!"

"I was still watching that show! I had one more episode to catch up on!"

She tried to grab the remote from my hand, but I held it out of her reach.

"That sucks for you. You can watch it when I'm gone."

She grabbed for the remote a few more times before she sat down. Her face was full of annoyance.

"Fine. Get out then! I'm watching my show!"

She went behind my spot on the couch and tried to push me off.

"Stop that!"

She didn't stop.

She just kept trying to push me off, but while I was distracted by trying to stay on the couch, she swiped the remote.

She flopped back onto the couch and changed the TV back to her show.

Obviously, I wasn't going to lose, so I kicked her off of the couch.

She hit the ground with a thump, and I just laughed.

"You're a jerk, Bakugou!"

She climbed back onto the couch and glared at me.

"So, how's your song for the concert going? I know that you were really excited when you told me about it."

Her angry expression morphed into something pitiful before she covered it up.

"It's going well."

Even her voice sounded hollow.

"No. It's not. You're awful at hiding it!"

She looked around the room for an excuse, and then we both heard a car door shut.

"Would you look at that?! Mitsuki must be back!"

She tried to drag me off of the couch, but I let my body become dead weight.

"What happened, Y/N?"

"Nothing. Everything's fine."

I raised an eyebrow at her as she desperately tried to get me to leave.

"Come on, Bakugou! Just go home!"

That's when I lost it.

"Just tell me already!"

Y/N let go of me and backed away.

"I helped you before, didn't I?! Why won't you let me help you?!"

I shot out of my seat and moved closer to her.
