"Thanks," he murmured. Nabi only looked at him as she wasn't able to hear it clearly.

Now that they thought the kitchen area was clear of zombies because a lot of them were outside, Nabi scanned the whole place and saw the lunch lady who, to her horror, was starting to turn into one.

"Gwinam! The lunch lady!!" Gwinam took the knife from her hands and stabbed the lunch lady before it can attack them.

They both seemed to calm down and an awkward atmosphere enveloped the kitchen area once again.

Gwinam was quiet, looking down. He had to say sorry for what happened earlier. He doesn't know why but he really felt bad and guilty after Nabi said those words and walked away from him.

He looked back at the girl who was looking around the whole kitchen area. She was opening each drawers and checking every spot carefully. "What are you doing?" He asked her.

"Looking for some weapon that I can use." The only thing Nabi said as she went back to look for a weapon.

"Why look for a weapon? We already have this knife," he said in a matter-of-fact tone, raising the knife he's holding.

Gwinam doesn't know why Nabi had to look for her own weapon. He can protect her, he will always protect her.

Nabi doesn't know how much Gwinam wanted to make it up to her... especially now that the world seems like its ending.

Nabi turned and smiled at him. "YOU have that knife, I need another one. I have to go look for Onjo and Cheongsan," she said.

Gwinam went quiet. 'Right, you have new friends already.'

"You're going alone?" He sighed. It's dangerous to be alone in a situation like this right now but if Nabi wants to do something, she'll do it.

Nothing and no one can stop her.

"Yes, unless you want to come with me?" Nabi said and looked at him. He honestly can't read the girl's facial expressions anymore.

He used to, when they were kids.

"No thanks, I'm fine on my own." He wasn't sure if he wanted to be with his friend's new friends, he didn't want to see her enjoying their presence because she didn't enjoyed his.

He sure was jealous. He was mad that the girl, after being away for a long time without contacting him, suddenly appears in Hyosan and is watching after him.

But just earlier, the girl finally said that she was disappointed in him. She finally snapped. He knew he deserved to hear it, not just from her but from everyone, that's why he was about to apologize and explain to her properly during lunch time.

'Fucking zombies.' Gwinam thought to himself.

Nabi, after finally finding another knife, spoke.

"Suit yourself, then. Shall we?"

And with that, they escaped the cafeteria but parted ways, leaving the guy hoping for his friend to be alive and meet her again later.

I wasn't in my best condition right now. I am tired, thirsty, and hell! I'm hungry too!

But, I'd rather be hungry than to be the food of these creatures. The whole place was filled with mindless, hungry zombies who'll charge at me the moment I make a noise.

My feet hurts. I even wore my flat shoes today but it still hurts from all those running away from the zombies.

And, I know I told myself I won't worry about Gwinam anymore but I can't help it! He should've just went with me to find the other students, at least I would know that he was safe.

I don't know why he won't. It's better if the survivor students are together, it's easier to rescue us that way.

I checked my pocket and found my phone and airpods in there. Wow, these stuff haven't fall out of my small pockets yet?

That's nice!

I brought out my phone and checked the battery life. I know I charged this earlier before going to school, this should have at least 50%.

But no, it wasn't. Why the hell is my phone on 15%?! Really?!

I wanted to shout in frustration but that would just put me in danger.

Think Nabi, think!

"Fuck this shit, I'm going in." I said to myself as I ran to the school building and was welcomed by a lot of people... wait no, zombies, inside.

Even the other teachers are already zombies!

I said I wanted to have a vacation from school but not something like this!

I swiftly avoided every zombie that was in the way. I knew I was tired but I don't have plans being a zombie! That would be so embarrassing! I have a goal set on my mind right now and that is to go to our classroom.

I hope Onjo and Cheongsan are both there.
