chapter seven. AOUAD
THIRD PERSON
Nayeon collapsed on the floor as soon as she was pushed out by Nabi. Her face was horrified, still in shock of what she accidentally did to the girl.
"What happened to her?" Wujin whispered to Gyeongsu. The boy just shrugged, his mind repeating the words Nabi said to him earlier.
"Itold you I'd protect you, right?"
He scrunched his eyebrows. He's confused on what the girl meant by protecting him.
Nabi always protected him. Ever since they became friends, the girl had treated him like a family. He would always feel appreciated because of the girl... The girl he admires so much as a sister.
"Where's Nabi? Why isn't she coming out?" Onjo asked the two. Nayeon only lowered her head making the group turn to Gyeongsu.
He still haven't figured it out. He went back to what happened inside the room, before and after Nayeon came.
They were chatting, both of them seemed fine. Nabi kept on looking at her wristwatch, keeping track of the time.
As they heard a sound of the door opening and closing, they immediately turned around, facing the walls.
Nabi looked at Gyeongsu, smirking. He grinned knowing it was Nayeon, the girl who accused the two of them as infected.
"I'm sorry," he heard Nayeon said in a small voice.
He looked at Nabi, who looked like she had no plans on facing the girl, and copied what she did. They sat there, still facing the wall, waiting for Nayeon to say something again.
"I said I came here to say sorry," the girl repeated.
With this, Nabi turned around and faced the girl with a blank expression. Gyeongsu followed her but kept quiet.
"Genuinely or did someone told you to do it?" Nabi asked. Gyeongsu shivered at the tone of her voice.
She could really be someone nice or someone mean, there was no in between.
In this case, she's someone ready to jump at the girl in front of them but managed to keep herself calm.
The other girl remained quiet. Gyeongsu failed to notice, but this was the time Nabi already found out about Nayeon's stupid plan.
