I felt Katsuki cringe the second that he heard his mom.
My parents and Mitsuki rushed to the side of my bed and asked me a bunch of questions, the main one being if I was okay.
"I'm completely fine now. Recovery Girl healed me, and I'm just a little tired. ... Before you ask, I was walking home from the store and got in the middle of a villain attack."
Katsuki frowned.
"She's lying."
Everyone turned to him and his frown deepened.
"I was fighting the villains, but one was hiding with a gun. Y/N took the bullet for me and then I beat the guy to a pulp."
It was silent for a second, and then all of the adults were yelling at him.
Mitsuki slapped the back of his head and then shook him by the shoulders.
"You don't even have your license, Katsuki! You injured my future daughter-in-law because you were being reckless!"
My parents looked furious!
"She was right to not want to talk to you! You're a selfish jerk who can't think about anyone else's safety!"
My parents loomed over Katsuki and me as they yelled at him, and he just took it!
"Stop!"
Everyone turned to face me.
"Yes, Katsuki acted recklessly, but if he hadn't stepped in, someone else could've gotten hurt or died! I'm fine! Katsuki apologized, so will you please stop yelling at my boyfriend?!"
My hands flew to my mouth after I said the last part.
Everyone was silent.
Then Katsuki started to laugh, and it was a beautiful sound.
"That wasn't how I planned to tell them, but it's too late. The hag's gonna go crazy in three... two... one..."
Mitsuki's jaw dropped.
"You're dating?! How long has this been going on?! I knew it!"
She pulled my parents into a tight hug as they tried to process this.
"You're stuck with me and my family now! Katsuki has never even been nice to a girl before, so you better believe that they're getting married!"
"Shut up, you hag!"
My parents pulled out of Mitsuki's hug and sat down beside me. My dad put his hand on my shoulder with a concerned look on his face.
"If he makes you happy, we'll support you. Bakugou, if you EVER hurt her again, you will deal with me. I don't care if you're a future hero or not! Don't you dare hurt her!"
Katsuki frowned, but I wasn't worried. I knew that he'd never hurt me again.
"I won't. I did once and it was the biggest mistake I've ever made."
Mitsuki nodded her head.
"And he's made a lot!"
I couldn't help but laugh at Mitsuki's comment, but Katsuki didn't think it was funny, so he pushed me off of the hospital bed.
After I hit the ground, I spun around to glare at him, but he just laughed and offered me a hand back up.
I took it and sat by him again.
"One of these days, you're gonna know how that feels!"
He smirked cockily at me as I tried to threaten him.
"Go ahead and try, Teddy Bear."
I tried my best, and after a lot of struggling, he finally lost his grip on the bed and fell to the ground.
"Ha! I did it!"
He let out a single laugh after he hit the floor, and I felt my blood run cold!
He looked over his shoulder with a crazy look on his face.
"This is war, Y/N."
Welp! It was nice while it lasted!
Before Katsuki could pull me off of the bed, a nurse ran in.
"Are you okay?!"
They must've thought that I fell.
"I'm fine."
The nurse smiled and looked at her clipboard.
"That's good! You're free to go whenever you're ready now. You're one hundred percent healed! Have a great day!"
The second that she left the room, I was out of bed.
"Let's go home!"
"Whatever you want, Y/N."
My parents put their chairs back in their original spots and led the way out of the hospital.
We were about halfway through the hallway when Katsuki stopped me.
"You're tired, right?"
"Just a little."
He squatted down in front of me.
"Hop on."
I got onto his back and he grabbed my legs.
"This is just because you got hurt protecting me. Don't expect it again."
"I won't, but thanks."
Katsuki carried me to the car and then climbed into the back beside me.
Apparently, Mitsuki was so worried that she got into her car, dragged my parents into their seats, and then sped off to the hospital, so we were all driving home in the same car.
"You can use my shoulder as a pillow."
I wasn't that tired, but it was nice of Katsuki to offer, so I leaned against him and just enjoyed the moment for the rest of the drive.
