Lee Suhyeok likes Song Nabi. It was very obvious, so when she decided to confess to him, it already meant nothing for her. She had already moved on from him and just wanted to let the emotions out.
She also knew something else. Though it wasn't really easy to see, Song Nabi also likes Lee Suhyeok.
She had never seen her friend look at someone the way she looks at Lee Suhyeok. Knowing that Nabi was very in denial, she paid no attention to it before and never tried to question her.
But now, she's 100% sure she was right.
I see skies of blue and clouds of white,
the bright blessed day, the dark sacred night.Gyeongsu looked at his friends, smiling. Sure, running away from those creatures outside was exhausting, but he never expected that this was the rest that he needed.
He has a lot of questions going on his mind right now. Some of it are not really worth the time to think, but some are bothering him to the point that he has this feeling inside his chest.
A feeling that someone special for him will be gone soon.
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
The song ended as Nabi looked at the dark sky which means another day has ended.
This good bye was more than enough than what she planned.
It was night time, and the helicopter should be here soon.
"That was great, Nana! Told you, she could sing!" Gyeongsu nudged Daesu who smiled cheekily at the two.
"You guys look like a couple!" Gyeongsu cheered once again, making the girl blush. She turned to look away but Suhyeok's eye didn't miss to see the hint of redness on her cheeks.
He smiled at Gyeongsu and placed the guitar down before tapping Nabi at the shoulder. "Pretty girl," Suhyeok called.
"What?" Nabi asked, her back still facing the boy.
"Turn around," Suhyeok said in a teasing voice. "No," the girl replied with finality.
Suhyeok chuckled and stood up, walking to where Nabi was facing and sat down.
"Didn't know you also had a crush on me, Vice Prez?" Suhyeok raised his eyebrows up and down, to which the girl rolled her eyes.
"You're too confident," the girl replied.
"Hm, not really. But, I saw you blush so—"
"It was just hot!" Nabi argued, glaring at the boy.
The girl was blushing harder than ever, earning a chuckle from Daesu and Gyeongsu. The two turned to the group, seeing that all of them were watching.
Nabi immediately looked at Onjo, worried for her friend's reaction but instead, she saw her smiling wide, looking genuinely happy for her.
"I know about it already," Onjo mouthed. Nabi widened her eyes. She was still confused on how she treated the boy at first, and what her feelings was for him — besides, this was very new to her but she knew deep inside that it was more than a friendly feeling.
"So, do you like—" Suhyeok was cut off when they heard the sound of a helicopter.
That was when Nabi knew her time was up.
The group immediately started to wave their hands and scream. Finally, the help they've been waiting for arrived and they'll be safe and sound to where the other survivors are.
They rejoiced as the military called out for them, telling them that their temperature needs to get checked.
Suhyeok froze as he remembered that his pretty girl was infected and the military might do something bad to her if they find out through her temperature.
He turned to where the girl was and found nothing but thin air.
Well fuck.
"Where's Nabi?!" Suhyeok asked as he began to worry once again, mentally hitting himself for not fulfilling what he promised earlier.
Why would you always leave, Nabi?
