Learning Control

I had to delete and repost this because the order of the parts was bugging me. The last AN part was after this chapter, when it should have been before, so sorry for any inconveniences I might have caused.

After eveything that happened, Scott no longer wanted to build the cute castle he planned from the beginning. Instead, he decided to plant an orchard with a variety of trees. Like Acacia, Azalea, Birch, Dark Oak, Jungle, Oak, and Spruce trees. Some grew into simple, short ones, while some others grew into tall majestic ones. And a select few grew into huge, willow like trees.

While preparing to make himself lunch, the sound of a totem of undying popped outside. With a dramatic entrance, the Ocean Queen flung the entry door open, and strode in. Scott let out a small shriek and jumped backward. Causing the beef and carrots that were on his small counter to fall onto the ground.

Staring forlornly at the fallen food, he  sighed, and looked up at Lizzie.
"What was that for?" he whined.
"I like to make an entrance," she smiled.
"I see that, what do you want though?"
"Can't I just visit my dear brother in law?"
"You can, but you never do, so what do you want?"
"I require fashion from you Scott. You are a well dressed person, and I want your armour"
"You can't just have my armour Lizzie"
"Then what can I do to get your armour?"
"Do every achievement," he said smugly.
"But that's impossible," she exclaimed.
"Exactly. But if you can do that, you can have my armour. Just know that in that armour, you won't be as fashionable as me though. Just to let you know," he called out as she rushed off to complete the rest of her achievements.

An hour of eating and doing nothing later, the royal ocean being reappeared screaming, "I'VE FINISHED THEMM!!!!"
"Excuse me? What?! How?!"
"I did it, " she said smugly.
"Alright then. I guess. You wanna follow me and look at it?"
"Let's go!!" She said excitedly.
She didn't even question or complain about the clunkiness of the armour,  and just left with a simple thank you and an "Ooh, pretty!".

"There's no way that she completed all the challenges!" he burst out a few minutes later, "She must have swindled me. It isn't the first time," as he scrambled around to grab a few materials that he knew would expose whether or not she was lying. Like a bucketful of powdered snow and a pair of leather boots.

On the way to the ocean, Scott saw all the large jungle trees shake, and a few of them even fell down with a large crash. He then heard a deep rumble which grew louder and louder, until it became too overbearing for his elf ears. He turned back around and instinctually took the rune blade.

"I better go to central to see whats going on," he decided.

"My entire empire's GONE!"
"Uhhhhh, fWhip? He's gone. Bye bye"
"Are you okay?"
"What on earth is happening?"
"YOU'RE ALIVE!"
"We mixed salmon and cod in the reactor and-"
"So you're both to blame"
"I'm gonna go check on my empire"
"Yeah me too"

Everything just happened in a blur. Words blended together and the confusion and panic in everyone's voices turned into white noise. The skies were a dark gray and rain was relentlessly tearing down.

Returning to his empire, horror rushed through his veins as masses of corruption covered everything. And in the middle of it all, was the demon himself.

"I've missed you brother, " he cooed sadistically.
"How did you get out?!"
"You really thought that stupid wizard could trap in a simple crystal?"
"Don't insult Gem like that, her magic is good"
"Sure," Xornoth waved his fingers and a dome of red glass encased Scott, "How does it feel to be trapped in a circle with no way out now? It's not nice," All the while, Scott was debating his choices. The demon was within his arm's reach and if the demon died, the world could be saved. But at the same time, if they demon died, he would die as well. As Xornoth continued to monologue, Scott finally pulled the Rune Blade from his sheath, which silenced Xornoth in shock.

"Where did you get that?"

Scott didn't say anything. He just smiled.

Thinking of life before Xornoth got corrupted, of Jimmy, and of Rivendell, he swung the blade in an arc.

It hit flesh, and the both of them fell dead. 

Scott woke up on the road outside of the village of Rivendell. Looking around, he couldn't see any corruption, and he seemed to feel much less stressed and more mentally well.

"Hiya Scott! What are you doing, wandering about? We have things to finish," a cheerful voice rang out. 
"What?"
"Are you okay? You look like you've never seen your own brother before"
"Uh, yeah. Just a little dazed. I'm fine"
"You're acting a little weird. But you often are,"
"Hey! No I'm not!"
"There he is, that's my little brother," a smile broke it Xornoth's face, "Now get going, mum and dad will return soon, and we need to finish our chores to show that we are responsible enough for the crown"
"Yeah alright"
The went their separate ways, Scott to the house free previously owned, Xornoth to finish his chores.

"It must have worked.  I was thinking of a happy life in Rivendell, and I end up here. It worked!"

"What worked?" Jimmy's voice asked, "Hurry inside, I made lunch"
