BABYSITTING KLEE WITH ALBEDO.

"judging by the look on your face, you're probably wondering why jean assigned the both of us to babysitting klee, correct ?"

then again, albedo was a genius and probably knew everything, which was scary, but you were sure of your acting skills being the best in the world ...

"uh- yeah .. it does seem a little strange when i've had no experience babysitting and you've done it alone many times before."

"i requested your help from jean. she talks of your skill quite a lot in meetings, and i wanted to study you while we look after klee-"

albedo suddenly cut himself off, probably realising that his request sounded quite strange. before allowing himself to continue, he tried thinking of multiple ways to dumb down his reasonings to a point where you'd be able to understand them.

"apologies, i didn't mean to sound rude just now. i should've gotten your permission instead of asking jean to set this as a commission for you. if you're still willing to, i'd like to test your skills. jean talks highly of you, which takes a lot of hard work. you don't appear to have a vision on your person either, which is most curious indeed."

somehow your silence had caused him to ramble. you'd heard from other knights that albedo wasn't the most chatty type, so hearing him ramble about wanting to know about you and your skills ... sheesh.

"of course, these examinations will be more difficult with klee around, but we can find a way to make it work. for now i'd mainly like to test your intelligence, so i could provide you with a few small and simple written exams. this type of testing will also allow room to keep an eye on klee. i can probably keep her occupied with a colouring book or two."

klee let go of you after colouring books were mentioned, now clinging onto albedo. she tried jumping up as she expressed her excitement in hopes to make it more clear that she didn't want to wait for her beloved colouring books.

"that- that was a lot to take in."

"my apologies."

"oh no it's fine. my only problem is the actual exam part. i wouldn't want to disappoint you, but i'm not the brightest crayon in the box-"

"KLEE LIKES CRAYONS"

klee had abandoned both you and albedo, and was now bouncing around the room screaming about how much she loved crayons.
where does she get all that energy from ?..

"you have no need to worry, the questions won't be that difficult. if you can't answer a question, feel free to skip it. nobody except me will see your exam, so if the fear of being judged is what's holding you back .. there's not much point. i don't care much for how well you do, i'm just trying to figure out what makes jean so impressed with you."

"have you ever considered being a teacher ? i think you'd fit the role."

"hm ? no. i quite like what i'm currently doing."

"alright, how many questions are in this 'exam' ?"

"around 150, it won't take long at all."

the look of horror on your face after realising you had just signed your life away to some science nerd club exam thing was priceless. klee was practically rolling across the room in a fit of laughter.
albedo was far better at hiding the fact he was probably secretly making fun of you in his head, but he was still smiling.
