it was another day in liyue. nothing new. sometimes life here seemed boring, and you longed for change. however, you were also happy with the life you had now.
you only wished for a little more excitement.

you worked as a waiter at third-round knockout. because of this, you didn't lack mora. you even owned a house at yujing terrace.

you were raised to hate fatui, being told that they were a pure evil organisation that brought no good to the people who dared involve themselves in their affairs.

it made you furious when you found out about the northland bank.
those fatui vermin had the audacity to set up some shady bank - that would probably steal all of the peoples money - in YOUR nation ? why couldn't they stay in snezhnaya where they belong ?

you refused to go near that bank. you'd betray all of your personal views if you even so much as breathed near that filthy snezhnayan building.

you had woke up early this morning, you were handling a reservation made by someone under the name of childe.

you changed into your work uniform and ran down the stairs of yujing terrace. the walk to work never really took long, but you were excited to meet a new customer !
they didn't exactly sound local either, so they'd have stories to tell of what things are like in other nations !

on arrival you were greeted by a cheerful, tall ginger man. was this 'childe' ?

"hello ! are you childe ?"

"that's me !"

"i'm sorry if i kept you waiting, i-"

"it's fine. are you the waiter here ?"

"that i am ! i believe you made a reservation for 4 people today .. if my notes are correct, you're 5 minutes early"

"wow, the staff here are so organised ! i'm glad to have someone so reliable helping out"

most people find your habit of memorising dates, reservations, names and old customers' orders weird, but this childe guy didn't seem bothered at all.

"oh- i'm sorry if my habit is disturbing- it's just something to focus on while i'm at home .."

childe laughed at your apology, not in a rude way, but in a 'you have nothing to apologise for' way.

"i don't mean to come off as rude .. and you absolutely don't have to answer ! but .. why are you named 'childe' ? it's a rather strange name dont you think ? OH- sorry-"

"i admit it is kinda weird. you can call me tartaglia instead if you like. "

from the corner of your eye you noticed zhongli and aether walking up to you, with paimon floating in between them. quickly, you waved them over enthusiastically. tartaglia once again laughed at your actions, he found your enthusiasm upon seeing friends adorable. the awkwardness you originally had when meeting childe faded away instantly now that zhongli was present.
you weren't sure how, but you were quite good friends with zhongli. you saw him as a father figure of some kind, and you loved spending time with him.
