Hexed (Vi x POC! Reader)

Ekko was leading the tour around the base. He kept away from the more secret areas such as your lab, the weapons house, and the chemical station. People stopped you guys to say hello or ask a question everywhere you went. Even Scar approached to tell Ekko that he was taking a bit of time with his baby, Ashire. You were even given a sneaky, slobbery kiss on the cheek by Ashire as you held him. You grinned as he laughed excitedly at your startled reaction. 'That baby is going to be a menace like his mother.' You activated your talons and let him play with your fingers. Since he's a Vastaya, there's no worry about him hurting himself with the talons. Shortly after appearing, Scar and Ashire left.

You didn't know what Ekko's plan was but you went along with it. You saw the way his fingers tapped against his leg, which was a sign of him scheming. You kept stealing glances at Vi while she was distracted. You couldn't believe that she was here in front of you. It feels like a fever dream in all honesty. You noticed that she is walking very close to you. Occasionally, your arms would bump into each other and one of you would jolt away with a muttered apology. It was a bit silly seeing as you two used to be so close, but time has changed things.

"We have quite a few families with children so the kids get taught here. The family zone is away from the main base so the children don't see anything bad. Our forward teams tend to come back with a few wounds, and sometimes people don't come back alive. We don't want them seeing that if we can prevent it." Ekko keeps walking, "The inner zone is the treehouse and our work areas. Outside of that are four outer zones: family living, singles and childless living, the amphitheater, and our new dead zone."

"Wait! When did you finish the dead zone?!" You exclaim in surprise. Ekko grins at you, "A few days ago, but I told Scar not to tell you." You scoff and shove him, "You know I've been looking forward to it! How dare you use him against me! You're so mean to me!" You fake cry and Ekko rolls his eyes and punches your shoulder.

"This whole place... it's beautiful." Caitlyn breathes out in awe as she glances around.

"If your people had it your way... it'd be rubble and ash." Ekko scoffs and crosses his arms. Caitlyn turns to the two of you with a pleading gaze, "It's a misunderstanding... They think you work for Silco." You scoff and turn away from the conversation. 'Of course, they think we work for Silco. He's the one whispering in their ears and providing them with drugs.'

"Your people hunt us like animals. Silco pays them to do it." Ekko hisses.

"That's not possible. You're wrong." Caitlyn instantly denies it.

"Say that one more time." Ekko gets into her face with a harsh glare. Your brother is pissed off and rightfully so. A Piltie is coming into our home and saying that our way of life didn't exist. 'Isn't that what the Piltovens think about you Zaunites in general?' You straighten up in surprise at Umbra's voice. 'They have been ignoring your people's suffering for years. She is just as ignorant.' Vi gets between the two of them and pushes them apart, "Ekko, she believes what she's saying, okay? She's not your enemy."

'That makes her one of the worst. Blindly believing what her people say.'

'Haven't you ever done that?'

'No. I didn't listen when my parents told me jumping across rooftops was dangerous. I even tried searching for Vi's body when they said she died.'

"Oh yeah? Then, what's this?" Your eyes widen in surprise when Ekko pulls out the gemstone Jinx showed you earlier. You flinch as the blue glow of the gemstone hits your eyes. The memory of the screams resurfaces but you can't help but want to reach for the gemstone. You need to know why you couldn't telepathically communicate with whoever that soul belonged to. Ekko gives you a concerned look but keeps a tight grip on it. Caitlyn's eyes widen in shock when she sees the gemstone in your brother's hand. 'Hexxit. Please don't let her take it.'
