And then it clicked.

Burning a note equals to one chance in past.

And how would he come back?

He had to make someone believe him.

Yes, that's exactly how he remembered breaking the code.

Jinyoung pulled of one, two- he doesn't know how many of those post-its and held them over the candle flame.

Nothing happened.

Suddenly his mind went back to the ones mounted by Jackson. There were just three of them left. Two notes and one polaroid with a signed message which meant he had three more chances. He needed to use them wisely if he wanted to get his life back on track.

If he wanted his life with Jaebeom back on track.

"Nyoungie,

Keep Smiling, always."

It shattered Jinyoung's heart to witness the sweet words his best friend had written to him being reduced to ashes this time.

He woke up with a start again.

But this time he didn't waste any time in useless things like catching his breath. Rather, his first instinct was to grab his phone to look at the date.

19 October 2020.

Few months before hyung and I decided to take a break.

Jinyoung was perplexed.

He just knew he was being offered chances by destiny but why?

He was obviously willing to take them but......every time he was being sent back, he had no control or say. This time it was even further in past.

Before he could give any more thoughts into this, his phone chimed.

Beomie: Good Morning, Jinyoungie. Are you up? Be ready, I'll pick you up in an hour <3

Be ready? Jinyoung frowned. Scrolling up a few messages, he realized that Jaebeom and him from that time were supposed to go on a date.

Jinyoung missed it. He missed being with Jaebeom, visiting cafes, trying coffee and sweets, book shopping- everything. He suddenly felt a wave of comfort washing him.

So how could he leave this opportunity?

Jumping off his bed in excitement, Jinyoung rushed to his bathroom, to take a shower. After stepping out, he spent a good amount of time selecting and discarding outfits. He was seeing Jaebeom, on a date, after months! He had to look his best.

"What did you buy?" Jaebeom asked with curiosity beaming on his face.

"The Handmaid's Tail." Jinyoung grinned, showing him off his brand new hard copy of the book he wanted to read for so long.

"I have read it already."

Jinyoung smacked his arm. "So what? Who asked you, Jaebeom?"

"Hyung." Jaebeom tried his best not to grin. "Jaebeom hyung, Jinyoung. Show me some respect."

"Respect is earned, Jaebeomie and I don't think you've earned mine."

Jaebeom stepped forward, finally grinning. "But I have earned your love, haven't I?"

Finding his face too close to his own, Jinyoung gulped. It had been so long. So long since he had felt Jaebeom's proximity, let own the elder's breath fanning over his face like this.
