Perfect match (SCP-049 x reader)

You finally found the elevator. As you all stepped inside you looked at the buttons.

Some looked... broken. Guess you could only go up so many floors. Why does everything have to be so difficult?

As the elevator started to move up you found yourself staring at 049.

You didn't know why but you kind of liked it. You thought for a second.

What does happen if we escape here?

What happens to me?

What happens to us?

Do we just part ways?

You kind of wanted to stay with 049. He was different from everyone else. But he didn't know about your past.

And well... you didn't quite know much about his either. Or what he would do after he left this place. But you could guess, accurately too, probably...

His head turned toward your direction as you quickly looked away.

He totally saw you staring...

It was quiet in the elevator. The ride seemed to be taking forever.

"Y/N?"

You almost jumped at his voice. "Y- Yeah?"

"This is the furthest I've gotten in a while. There might be a chance we actually get out of here."

"Oh... That's good."

"What will you do after you leave?"

How did he know I was-?

"Me? I... I don't know. Don't really have a family I want to see or anything I want to do..."

"Would you accompany me?"

"I... guess. What else is there to do?"

You smiled a bit, at least you have him.

"I think that's the first time I've seen you smile..." 049 said.

"Huh? Oh yeah... Not much to smile for..."

"Well, a smile looks good on you. Try it every now and then."

"Why don't you smile?" you said as you crossed your arms jokingly.

"I am."

"Yeah, whatever."

The doors finally opened. You walked out. Looking around you recognized where you were. 

"Hey, I think we are close to an exit. Well, as close as we can be right now."

"Wonderful."

049 liked the new mood you were in. You sounded happy, strange for you, but he liked it.

Josie had finally let you hold her again. 

You walked past a lot of doors, most likely to containments of SCPs. Some of them were open. But from what you knew they were safe classes so... it can't be that bad.

You peaked into one of the rooms as you walked. Stopping to read the description. SCP-714. Jade ring.

It was able to prevent possession and prevent 049 from curing someone... interesting.

049 called you and you grabbed it without thinking and put it in your pocket. Josie looked confused but stayed quiet.

As you continued walking you heard footsteps behind you. Too loud to be 049 or Josie.

"I think someone's coming."

049 looked around quickly before pulling you into a room and locking the door. It looked to be some kind of storage room.

You could hear voices outside.

"I heard someone talking."

"The stupid SCP is probably hiding, or it's a D-class. Look around the area."

"Yes, sir."

Strangely, they did not check the room you were in. They walked away but were still close as they searched for you.

You looked at 049 and whispered, "I guess we are stuck here for a bit".
