She gave the bartender a smile before dragging the shot glass with her fingers. Lorelei's upper body was slumped on the long counter while her bum sat on a high stool.

"Someone, just please marry me" she said, eyes half-lidded and lips protruded. Her current situation was just too demanding to even control her love life.

Lorelei Rios a.k.a. Lori, works for a top secret organization that hunts down big-time criminals and syndicate. She rules one base unit of her company that happens to be an all-women team. Now, why the sudden mention of marriage? Easy, it's for her mission. The person assigned to her has been allegedly called "The Dragon" as per described by low-ranked criminals, and a difficult man to catch. If he wasn't, then he shouldn't be running the underground institution for years and Lorelei wouldn't stress about getting married for her cover up story.

You see, the target has a wife, a socialite trophy wife that doesn't do much but spend her husband's money. Whether it's for charity or just to throw herself an overnight party, half a million pesos isn't that much for her bank account to be bothered. Her husband's loaded so, it ain't big deal.

However, needing a strong and factual evidence that she's married so she can live on the very villa the criminal's wife took a reign on was what she needed to dom In order to infiltrate and assess information, she needed to get to the DIVES (Latin for rich), a residential place for extremely rich people who only allows married couple to purchase in their luxurious estate. That's how the wife wants it to be, she owns it, so be it.

Lorelei scoffed upon the thought.

Whoever that woman is, she's damn lucky to spend that much money!

But on the second thought, she was grateful for being contented with her life. The woman was separated from her trail of thoughts when her phone vibrated. It was inside her purse and she struggled getting it out.

*Maggie Calling

"Good evening Lori. Took you some time to pick up" for a brief moment Lorelei thought there was a teasing note in her voice.

"Anyway, the chief wanted an update from your status tomorrow, 7 sharp. He assumed that you have prepared everything for the assignment?" Margarette Fernandez a.k.a Maggie, also an elite agent from her base unit, asked monotonously.

Don't get it wrong, she's light but if it comes to work, she'll be head on serious.

Lorelei sighed and rested her head on the counter, "Alright, be there on time" she responded, her voice a bit hoarse.

The woman on the other side smirked upon hearing her and called out another name, "Jamie, should we call on your brother to allow this poor woman to find herself a husband? She doesn't seem married to me now" Maggie laughed as Lorelei rolled her eyes.

She can hear Jamie on the background saying her brother's already taken by his lovely wife, the name's duty. Finding a husband sure is hard, specially when you're given 24 hours. It's not that she procrastinated, she was given a whole month but looking for a suitable candidate is just too difficult.

"Stop teasing me Maggie or I'll tell Alistair you want him. I remembered it clearly how you stalked and secretly have the copy of his sched—" ,"–Fine! Alright! No more teasing" Lorelei smiled and sat up straight, it seems like she's sober now.

"Anyway, Rosetta I know you're listening. You think I wouldn't know you planted a bug on my dress. You insisted on making me wear this. How could I find a husband wearing this revealing outfit—In a bar?" Lorelei frustratingly massaged her temples, dawning to her how she have been so clueless.

These girls knew nothing on finding a boyfriend, what more a husband? She must take it seriously now, and she should move by herself, after all it's her assignment.

"Just trust the process Lori—" she could hear Rosetta on the background however, it seemed like her voice was drifting away.

Lorelei sucked on her breath, the atmosphere changed, she's driven by an amusing and intimidating aura of the man who she didn't felt emerging from behind.

"Martini Blue" the man said as he sat beside her and briefly looked at her staring face. He has a cold feature as if he's bearing ice wherever he goes.

His eyes were dull and gray, but they were beautiful to look at.

Lorelei turned off the call, she composed herself and faced the same bartender, "I'll have the same as his, Martini Blue".
