"So how long have you and Malleus been together?" The sudden question made you choke on your cereal. Turning your head you glared as Lilia laughed at you. "Why do you always do that? Just because you can turn into a bat doesn't mean you can scare us." You grumbles as you grabbed a tissue to clean your spilled milk.

"I'm sorry but it's too fun to stop, don't think you can dodge my question though. You and Malleus seemed a bit too cozy the other day." Your eye twitched as you started washing your bowl. "We're not dating... I think, either way that's not really any of your concern now is it?" You cleared your throat and looked at Lilia who was clearly enjoying your reactions.

"That's not what Malleus said..." He hummed as he walked away from you. For a moment you ignored him.

Just a moment though.

"What did he say?" You grinned as you caught up to the short male. "Nothing much, just that the two of you have kissed more than once." You felt a heat rise towards your checks as you paused. "But did he verify or deny anything of our... Relationship?" You questioned. Lilia must've found something funny as he started laughing.

"Dude, c'mon quit laughing at me." You groaned as you threw your head back. "Alright, alright. He seems confused, he didn't know if you were or weren't a thing. But one things for sure, I think this is good for him. I've never seen Malleus so euphoric before, he's always been this huge book worm but it seems he's finally coming out of his shell. Thank you for that." Lilia gave you a pat on the back as you reached the end of the hall.

"I'll be expecting a report soon, I've got to get to class." Lilia waved you off with a smile.

"Report for what?"

Ace's sudden appearance made you jump.

"Where'd you come from?" Ace eyed you carefully. "You're the one that went AWOL on me, it ain't fun hanging out all alone." Ace sighed as you walked into the classroom together. "Sorry bout that again man, I should be free to hang today though." You groaned as you pulled out your notebook.

"Sure, just don't go bailing on me again." Ace grinned as the late bell rang. "Everyone flip to yesterday's notes, we'll be going over them and doing a few work sheets." Your teachers lecture faded off in the background as you zoned out.

The creek of a door made everyone look towards it.

Malleus entered the class with a stuffy nose. He scanned his eyes over the class as he walked towards his usual seat. "Malleus, I know you're never late but usually you'd get a tardy pass before entering my class. I'll let it slide this once, get with a classmate and go over any missing assignments please."

"That idiot..." You mumbled as you pulled your phone out from your pocket to text the horned male.

Y/N
Malleus you're still sick, you shouldn't be in class.

You quickly type away before sending it. A sudden question ping sound interrupted the class. You fought the urge to slap your forehead as you tried ignoring Malleus. "Dumbass..." You mumbled as you scribbled some notes down.

Throughout the whole class you couldn't stop looking over at Malleus. You knew he was tired of sitting in his bed all day but he also needed to rest and properly regain his strength. He was out three days with a fever and you knew he wasn't in the best shape.

When the bell rang you darted from your chair towards the door, hoping to catch up with Malleus. "Mal, what're you doing in class? Are you sure you're well enough to continue going to class?" Malleus sniffled, clearing his throat to hold back a cough.

"I'm fine Y/N, you shouldn't worry about me so much." His voice was raspy and deeper than usual due to his cough. "Mal..." You sighed as you looked around, most of the students were already in their classes and out of the halls. Pulling him in for a hug you pressed his forehead against your chest.

"God this is cringe, but I worry because I care about you Mal. If you wanna go to class go ahead but if you feel like you're getting worse go straight to your dorm." Malleus nodded as he breathed in your sent, a small smile graced his features. "Alright, you gotta go or else you'll be late." You placed a kiss on his forehead before sending him on his way.

Yawning, you pulled out your phone to text Ace.

"Dude, that was so gay."

Jumping in your skin you turned around and found Ace with a grin plastered on his face. "Dawg, what the fuck? Were you watching us the whole time?" You glared at Ace. "Woah, calm down now. I only caught the part where you kissed his forehead. I didn't know you were gay..." He mumbled as the two of you walked together.

"You didn't have to know..." You mumbled as you reached the gardens. "What?! We're buddies, you could've told me. I'm not homophobic or anything if that's what you're worried about." Ace shrugged as he looked for his skateboard in a bush. "Nothing wrong with dudes kissing dudes." You rolled your eyes as relief washed over you.

"More people should be like you Ace, open minded and easy to talk to." You sighed as you sat down under a tree. "So, am I like the first person to know? That would be so cool." You laughed as Ace struggled to keep himself balanced. "That I'm gay? Nah, not by a long shot."

"I knew when I was like... 14, I was a man whore before I came here though. My parents caught me making out with my neighbor's son and they really did not like that." You sighed as you looked down towards your lap. "That's fucked, if my son was gay I honestly wouldn't care. You love who you love." Ace shrugged.

"Period."

The both of you shared a laugh.

"Please don't tell anyone though. We haven't made anything official and I'm sure not everyone will have the same reaction as you." Ace nodded as he extended his fist towards you. "For sure bro, I'll see you during lunch." With a quick fist bump the two of you went your separate ways.
