Chapter 16 - Un Poco Loco

Jason knew his brother was being serious. He couldn't deny after being with Jade that he was once self-absorbed and downright deplorable when it came to women.

He was a dog but the difference was now he saw that. James always thought that Jason would change having Layla as a niece. He figured he would see the women he ruined as someone's niece, daughter, etc. He didn't.

"You're different and it makes me happy, Taylor. It makes me proud." Jason smiled at James before patting his back. "Let's go join our ladies and figure out what they're obsessing over." James nodded as they headed over to the living room to snuggle with their women.

"I still think Rasheeda can do better than Kirk." Jason said adamantly. "I agree. She's so freaking pretty too." James spoke up causing Jade and Jenna to laugh.

"Look at y'all invested in some Love and Hip-Hop. Is this going to be our new show to watch on double dates?" Jade asked with a smirk earning nods from both brothers.

"I'm going to get Layla up," Jenna said kissing James. "You need any help?" Jenna shook her head no and headed upstairs. James watched after her before following Jade and Jason in the kitchen. Jason palmed both of Jade's ass cheeks with his grubby hands as she moaned into his mouth.

"People eat in here you know." James snickered earning a middle finger from his older brother. "Be good." Jade whispered against Jason's lips before moving out of his embrace and towards the fridge for ingredients.

"Jade, I've been meaning to ask you. Jenna said something about me granting her wish. It was after I agreed for her to be Layla's mom. Do you know what that's about?"

Jade schooled her expression but James felt something was up. "She'll tell you when she's ready." Jade offered with a soft smile before rinsing the chicken thighs.

Jenna walked in with a sleepy Layla in her arms. "Hi Daddy." Layla said with a yawn before climbing into his lap. "Here you go, angel baby." Jade said handing Layla a small bowl of fruit. "Thank you, Princess."

They all talked animatedly as Jason made drinks for everyone. Jade took a sip of her vodka spritzer with a smile as Hannah Jean and Harry walked in happily. "Hey guys!" Jade called out. Hannah Jean pulled Jade into a hug. "Thank you so much for cooking dinner, dear." Jade nodded her head. "Anytime."

Jenna sipped her tequila sunrise as she watched Jade interact with Jason and James' parents. "Dad. Mom. I want you to meet someone." James said with a bright smile that caught their attention.

"This is Jenna Melnik. My girlfriend." Jenna stared wide eyed at him as he pulled her close. "She's my Mommy too." Layla said proudly causing Hannah Jean to chuckle and smile. "I guess you're just like your brother. Bringing home a beautiful girl out of nowhere." Harry snickered earning a scowl in response.

"Welcome to the family." Hannah Jean smiled pulling Jenna into a big hug. Jenna basked in the warmth Hannah Jean exuded. It had been a long time since Jenna received a motherly hug. "Thank you for this." Jenna whispered and Hannah Jean knew it was weighted. She was talking about so much more than just the acceptance received.

"Now you just got to get this big boy to like you." Jade snickered as Harry gave her a look. "I heard you can be difficult." Jenna chuckled as she looked at Harry. "Good women hang around one another, so I know any best friend of my daughter-in-law is worthy of my baby boy. Welcome to the craziness, Jenna and thanks in advance for loving my shortcake."

Harry picked up Layla before tickling her. "Paw Paw!!! Stop!" Layla giggled happily. "Mommy save me!" Jenna laughed at them as she scooped Layla up. "I have to save my baby from the big tickle monster!" Jenna said dramatically. She smothered Layla in kisses and they all basked in the giggles that tumbled from the little girl.
